This whole process has taught me one thing: patience. A month ago I was going crazy and stressing myself over everything and today I can say I have mastered the waiting game

AOS:

2016-11-21 Filed AOS, AP, EAD

2016-12-19 NOA1 Hardcopy received

2017-03-09 EAD and AP approved

2017-09-15 Green card approved, interview waived

 

ROC:

2019-08-12 Filed ROC (one day shipping)

2019-08-13 Application received at Lewisville, TX

2019-08-16 Received case number

2019-11-13 Biometrics appointment (Lubbock, TX)

2020-05-14 Case approved, interview waived

Hello November filers! So our 485 status just changed to "New Card Is Being Produced"  Our local office is Washington DC but we had no interview We are adjusting from K1 visa.

Last week seemed very light on approvals and nothing seems to be moving today.  I haven't seen a single approval since Feb 2nd.  I checked the Federal holiday calendar and the USCIS should be working today.  I also checked the local news and weather for Lee's Summit, Missouri where the NBC is located.  There were no tornadoes, blizzards, or other disasters reported in the area which would slow them down.  Not sure why we aren't seeing much progress the past 10 days.  Anybody have ANY news?

Just to let the group know, i called up the USCIS on day 90 ( Feb 2nd) of waiting for my EAD/AP and asked to for a decision. Today (Feb 6) my case changed to card being produced, so i believe i have now been approved. My AP case hasn't been updated however i assume i will receive a combo card.

Do you think it was the phone call or they finally got to the bottom of the pile where your EAD was located.  A lot of people have posted that the AP approval doesn't update electronically and it just shows up in the mail with your EAD (combo card).  Hopefully this is the case.  Congratulations on your approval and thanks for updating us.  Did you see it on the USCIS status website or did you get the text/email message?  I think you are the first approval of the week!  Woo-hoo!!!!

I think they were probably working their way towards my case anyway, but the phone call certainly sped up the process. I have not received any email or text...i just got a notification on the uscis app on the iphone.

11/22/16 NOA Received via Text/Email

12/15/16 Biometrics complete

02/06/17: EAD card Being produced

02/09/17: EAD card mailed

02/16/17: EAD card received (with typographic error)

02/17/17: EAD Typographic error E-Request sent

02/21/17: EAD Correction application with documents mailed to NBC

02/24/17: EAD Packet signed by USCIS

03/14/17: Text/Email NOA

03/21/17: Hardcopy NOA received

03/25/17: Mailed out I-131

04/10/17: Biometrics repeated for EAD I-765

04/21/17: i-131 Expedite request

05/10/17: I-131 Approved at Infopass appointment

06/12/17: Local congresswoman contacted

06/19/17: Documents sent to congresswoman 

06/20/17: i-765 EAD Card is being produced

06/24/17: NOA hard copy received

06/26/17: EAD Card in hand

Feeling discouraged this morning. Filing date for EAD is 11/4. We put in a service request last week. Answered overnight that as we got an RFE on our i-485 relating to a translation of the birth certificate - that the EAD will be processed within 90 days of 12/14 (the date they received our follow up). Which pushes us back to 3/14. I feel like I see people get RFEs on the I-485 and it hasn't affected their EAD application. So upset right now if we have to wait another month when we should be hearing now...

Hello all, for people who have gotten their EAD approvals, are you seeing the updates in the USCIS case status page come through in the evening or all over the place? I recall the K1 approvals seemed to mostly come through at night.

4-6-2016: I129F Sent

4-13-2016: NOA1

7-1-2016: NOA2

7-26-2016: NVC Received, Case number assigned

7-31-2016: Consulate received, status ready

8-11-2016: Medical

9-1-2016: Consulate Interview

11-10-2016: AOS package received

11-30-2016 NOA1 Text/Email

I guess I was stressing for no reason... just received an email that our EAD was approved this morning and a card is being produced. Beyond thrilled!

 

The USCIS app didn't notify me. The email generated is what I noticed. I had to refresh the app to show the status change - so the app did not push out a notification.
