11/16/2018                 Online case status changed to "approved" (44 days after AOS interview)

11/21/2018                 Green card was mailed

11/24/2018                 Green card arrived!!!!!  (526 days after applying for AOS)

OMG! Im crying right now! i'm in shock... someone slap me and we wake me up! :'D   after 87 days of waiting we finally got approved!!  I need to tell my fiance T^T.

That's helpful.  I sent some of the posts from the Canada forum to my fiancé so he can read through them as he is filling out the DS-160.  I didn't see in any of those posts that the dates could be approximate, so that's really good to know.  Thank you!

Arent you glad you are not one of those guys walking over Niagra bridge to Canada  on daily basis just to buy six packs because was cheaper :)

2010 We moved to Argentina temporally for my wife to study abroad under 9 FAM 42.22 N1.10 Lawful Permanent Resident Students Studying Abroad

USCIS letter asking for data ----------------------------Apr - 2010
USCIS closed twice our case --------------------------Apr - 2010
Once my wife degree was complete we Filled for Returning Residence DS-117 under 9 FAM 42.22 N1.10 

At the embassy we were notify that the 9 FAM 42.22 N1.10  the rule had changed------------Nov - 2014 Our return was Denied
Filled for Expedite DS-117 in Peru --------------------Nov - 2014 Denied
In order to be able to go back as a family and fill for I-130 we had to abandon my wife's green card at the embassy.

FIlled I-407 Abandonment of Green Card ----------Aug - 2015 Aproved
Re starting the whole process to return to our home in USA
Filled for I-130 -------------------------------------------- 09/02/2016                                          Filled for I-129F --------------------------------------------11/22/2016

I've got a memory like a sieve.  I'm not looking forward to trying to figure out US travel over my lifetime although I know for sure it's nowhere near 22 times.  10 times maybe...I'll have to ask the mothership.

November 7th filers here and... CASE APPROVED (February 8th)! yay :D

 

Question: those who got approved, have you received any e-mail or text message notification?

We didn't receive any, we found out our case was approved by checking the USCIS case status page.

 

Best of luck to everyone waiting and to those that got already approved!

 

 

May USCIS give you many approvals (preferably fast :P)!

May USCIS give you many approvals (preferably fast :P)!

 

You should get email or text but only if you sign up for it, you will get confirmation in mail in few days .It takes about three weeks for beneficiary to receive email from embassy.  I receive confirmation of approval in email and hard copy in mail about 3 days later .
