So sorry to hear about the denial. Why 6 months that's Ghana. They hold on awhile may be less. But don't expect to hear from USCIS for about 12 to 18 months.

As far as can it be reviewed faster no there's no rxpefite. It's wait in line like when you initially filed.

Your review you say 11 visits wow. I know this has been an issue for people going through Ghana.

I would contact my Senator immediately tell them what you want.

Email the embassy request a 2nd interview tell them you will come in to present to them what they request if that's what will help.

Otherwise it's just a waiting game.

Be sure to get all questions and husbands answers.

What are your rerags if any?

My husband arrived at embassy on time and did all the formalities like checking in and all that I cant give you all times because he is annoyed and don't care to give these details to me and I don't want us to fall out over this so I just have so sum up the beginning part of the process this way.

He gave paper work to the person who calls you up and asked for your medical and police stuff and any evidence . He sat down for about 45 minutes so he told me like I said he don't care about this update stuff I do.

After that he said we was called up and the Co was a white male that asked him 3 questions I confirmed with my husband to make sure it was just 3 questions because at this point I was getting up set with him I have bust my but to fight for us with all the visits, evidence I put together, support over years I sent, getting letters from pastor, my doctor who will deliver our baby in November Lord willing and than he want to act like he lost so much which in fact I feel like im the looser not him.

questions

1. In 2013 who were you going to California to visit this question came up because that year he applied for a visitor visa he used an agency to help him to apply and he said he was going to visit his uncle. He was denied because the co said no strong tides to his country. So today when asked he said he would was going to visit me and his uncle the co said he was lying because he stated that my husband originally said he would visit his uncle. I told my husband to be hones with them and tell them that he would have visited me I was thinking they would find it strange for him to get to U.S. and just visit uncle and not visit me seeing we where together around that time.

2. he asked husband why didn't any of my family members come to my wedding in Ghana. My husband answer them and said my mom is epileptic and has never been on plan (truth) my father was in nursing home rehab for heart failure and could never travel with his medical problems my father just died September 4th 2016 (truth) so than CO said what about your wife sisters my husband told them that I would have to pay their way to come (passport, visa, vaccinations, tickets) I don't have the money for that (truth) so than he want on to ask him what about friends and co-workers I husband said we plan to have celebration in U.S. for people her to come to. I never knew this would be an issue people have eloped with just them and a person to marry them so why is it so hard to believe that friends and family did not make it to wedding we did not have small wedding in Ghana and we had a big reception so it was nothing small it was lots of people there over 100 (not by choice) they just came.

3. he asked about my marriage to Nigerian guy 9 years ago I filed I129 but it did not work out so I divorced the guy and I had all the evidence from that so he told the co that and he said oh ok that's fine but you lied to me so I'm sending your case back to United States and gave him the white paper with nothing checked off.

This is what my husband told me I have been totally transparent with you all I took time to send update because I was thinking I would talk to my husband again but he has not called me he even went as far as to say I messed him up HOW I am a honest person and I just thought to be honest about everything I am down yes very down I am due to have baby in Nov my first child I hope I can deliver safely because I am so depressed over this

I wanted to give my update to you all please if you have anything you would like to say do it in love because I cant take abuse I did not want to not tell you all what happened that's why I put it out here. Thank you.

This is so sad...but get your senator involved to find out if the "lie" is the main reason for denial. And whether there's a ban or not.

It will help determine the way to go.

I am sure you are both feeling upset at each other but give yourselves some space to heal and fight this battle.

I've filed a K1 Fiance visa, so I feel somewhat out of my league here, but I wanted to offer some support. I cannot imagine what you must feel. After all of the posts I've seen regarding US/Ghana couples, it is a very tough embassy indeed. I know it must feel devastating at the moment, but I'm sure that feeling will subside a little and you'll both be able to think clearly to begin your next steps of re-filing.

I have a feeling that if he had told the CO "I went to visit my uncle" as it stated in the paperwork, that the CO would have then pointed out exactly what you originally feared, "you mean you didn't visit your fiance/wife at the time?" (I didn't check if you were married or just engaged then, sorry). It sounds as if the CO's in Ghana look for any reason, regardless of how ridiculous as someone else pointed out, to suspect fraud even when there isn't any. They don't seem to allow any room for human error due to nerves, and it's sad. Not everyone who comes in there can be without emotion and anxiety especially when they already know that it's not an easy embassy. The process and uncertainty is already stressful enough as it is without adding that to it.

I hope you both come to some emotional and mental clarity soon so you can continue plans to be together and quickly. And I think you have a great support group here on VJ. Yes there may be the ones occasionally who may be harsh in their opinions or advice, but so many others are understanding and hope for your happiness as much as you do.

Hang in there!

I'm sure they gave him some idea of why they denied him. What's your relationship history? Are there any red flags? What questions did they ask him? You can post your experience with the embassy in the embassy review section. But if you want insight as to why the denial, we need more info. Otherwise, just wait for the NOID/NOIR (i think that's what it is called) and respond fully to that.

please read my review or on this post I answer that question. As far a relationship we started in 2013 and got married in 2016 when I checked my passport stamps I had been to Ghana 14 times total I new it was over 11 times as I posted but didn't no the exact amount till I looked and matched all the stamps up 3 of those trips I was on transit to Liberia I sponsor two kids in Liberia so I check on them from time to time however we still had face time due to me having to transfer airlines and having to stay overnight in Ghana coming and going.

EVIDENCE I SUMMITED

1. bio of our relationship from beginning to present with every trip and pictures for every trip and labeled I did not print pictures I made the bio like a presentation and cut and pasted pictures into document for easy reading and reference

2. wedding book

3. fb chats from 2013 till present

4. whatapp chats 2 years worth

5. phone records

6. western unions transactions from 2013 - present (at least 25 of them)

7. letter from doctor stating my due date

8. letter from pastor telling about his involvement and marriage counseling he gave us

9. list of 70 guest that were at wedding with their phone numbers and relationship

10. divorce documents from 9 years ago

so please read review and let me know because I am lost thanks.

I am so sorry for you and your husband. The same thing happened to my husband. I am the USC, and we supplied so much evidence, used a lawyer and thought everything would be fine.

He was denied last September. The case finally got back to USCIS on 4 March 2016. We are told to wait 6 months from that date to hear from the USCIS for why he was denied.

When September 4, 2016 reached, I still had not heard anything from USCIS. It's over a year now. As others have written, it can take up to 18 months.

The CO at the embassy would not tell my husband why he was denied. We have no idea and are now waiting for the NOIR.

Please keep the faith. It's a stressful and painful time I know.

Since you re a us citizen . The co should ask him to apply for a waiver .. in many cases when applicants got denied a visa .. they apply for a waiver and DHS approves it .. and very sorry ..

I'm so sorry that this happened to you especially so close to your due date. You're right, you've done a ton of work to make your case strong and there seems to be no good reason why it should have been denied. You did a good job getting the details from him and you were right not to push too hard. Just keep reminding each other that neither of you did anything wrong. You have a brief window to get your senator involved and to push for a re-interview. I'm sure that being 8+ months pregnant will complicate things a little for scheduling another interview so be very clear about a reasonable time table for being able to travel. Make sure that your senator has a good understanding of what you are looking for. Personally I'd contact the senator who's not up for reelection. I assume they'd have more time to help right now. Good luck!

As I said earlier this embbasy is very scary. They will deney you for any stupid reason. Hang in there. you can refile and please dont waste your time on appeal.

Am really sorry for what you are going thru right now. take care.

You do NOT re file a CR/IR visa when it is being returned for review.

You re file for a returned K1 not a spousal visa. K1's don't get reviewed, CR/IR cases do and most get re affirmed.
