Exhausting day of selling POTSs, $i man.

We were then about to have Mini-B. read a book to us, literate wee man.

A call came in, Mrs. T-B. answered she man.

We left in a hurry to do something important for a dying man + family, beat it across town man.

Got mostly green lights, providential man.

Project completed, peace of mind man.

Not sure that the man will live more than a couple of days, sigh man.

Trying to distract ourself now, but reeling from it when we think about it, reely man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I'll have to take a look at it.  I've been following in a modified version because of my injuries a sort of lifting heavy type plan.  It is basically what I used to do in dryland training, but it has been about 10 lbs off in the past month and 3 inches off my waist.  My waist and hips right now are actually the same size they were when I was 15lbs lighter a year ago.  I don't think I had much muscle then.

It is exciting!  It is one of my weight loss goals.  Our bed is old, only used a couple of times by me over a 10 year period before we starting using it and looks new, but still old.  Plus, it is a queen.  We too need a king.

Good news today that my mother doesn't need chemo following her breast cancer surgery (did I mention that?), but preceded by bad news of my young cousin's wife having a more serious breast cancer diagnosis.

No you hadnt mentioned your mom Nola.  Im glad to hear she doesn't need chemo.  But I am sorry to hear about your cousin.  

 

It's really diet that means if you get heavier or lighter.  I just personally perfer to get stronger too. I'd rather weigh 140lbs at a size 6 than 120lbs at a size 6 and be able to do things like carry my dog, without needing someone else.  Lifting weights is good for your health as you get older and combats the effects of aging on your body.  I have some stubborn belly fat I need to lose mostly but some overall chubbiness still that's sticking around, from diet and lack of cardio. I just hate counting calories and weighing food and feeling obsessed about it.  

Its a little weird but hubs wants fo get bigger so needs to eat about 5000 calories a day.  I want to get smaller so need about 1300. Such a huge difference!

Maybe when I weigh less I can do 1300 a day, right now I crash about 3pm if I go for that.  1700 is a better fit for me, but I'm also working out 6 days a week.  Even that can be a hard slog.  

 

The Dane and I were talking about a Norwegian instagram personality who is the same height, but only 20 lbs less than my husband (265ish vs the Dane's 285ish), but just doesn't have the fat.   It is really a huge difference what just working out and ditching the junk food can do.  See if the Dane could just look like this, we'd be good.
