No, fast USCIS doesn't mean slow NVC. Just look at my timeline for example...and I could have done it even faster, but I delayed myself a week or two on sending my AOS/IV package.

May 2015 - Reconciliation
Nov 2015 - Vacation together in Spain (7th in-person visit with each other)
I-130/IR-1 (second time around)
4 Feb 2016 - Priority Date

USCIS approved my petition in 2.5 months. They received in June 6th and by August 15th they approved. In fact, I had not included evidence of citizenship which I had to Mail.

I have submitted all the required documents to NVC (IV/AOS package on Sept 26 and DS260 on Sept 27th).

Seems CC for some is as early as 21 days and in some cases 31 days. NVC stated that it takes upto 6 weeks to review when they get all documentation and their review is triggered by DS260 completion.

I have one question to ask folks in this Forum:

1) how do you know the date of CC before receiving NVC CC email notice? I noticed folks had in their timelines. I am assuming login in to the system (CEAC) and if you see AOS and IV Fees updated from Paid to N/A. I read it in the guides. Please let me know. Thank you.

When the AOS fee changes from "paid" to "N/A" then this is a good indication of case complete.

Waiting for that to happen with mine. Day 42 and counting...

Hi Guys,

New to the board - and obviously driven here by desperation (half kidding). A long time stalker, though.

Our USCIS case went surprisingly quickly. It only took around 2,5 months to be done with them. After that it has been at NVC. Anyone know how much they are sliding from the "up to 6 weeks" at the moment? Our case just shows "at nvc" from the CEAC tracker. And we have now reached that 6 week marker. Any insights on that?

Obviously also getting paranoid whether or not everything is ok with the application and other documents but one would hope that they would have asked for additions to the application earlier, no? Would be heartbroken if, when finally they take it into consideration, they would ask for additional info that would further process that 6 weeks.

Calling them, as most of you probably know, doesn't really help. They can't answer any questions regarding the application which kind of sucks.

Thanks to everyone for the moral support!

We hit six weeks at NVC today. Like you I was beginning to get paranoid that there was a problem, case had got lost, case had been shredded in error...all sorts of crazy thoughts. Lately I've only seen Case Complete from people with scan dates in the second half of August. They are definitely falling behind the 6-week target.

The question is...to supervisor review or not to supervisor review... I've heard pros and cons of both.
