No need to wait for Packet 3 if your embassy has it on their web site or is willing to e-mail it to you. Contact them for more information.

Unfortunately I have to wait for the physical Packet 3, but I'll have all documents ready for when I get it in the mail.

So is there another site we check the status on the visa number and everything after? I see everyone talking about packet 3/4

Yes, about 2/3 weeks after NOA2 you can start calling NVC to get your case number. Then you can check the status here:

Here is what they are talking about,

https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx

But in the Philippines they don't call them packets anymore, you don't need a letter or document to finishevthe process. You can call the NVC 2 weeks or when ever you want really to see if they have your case number. It really isn't this confusing, just follow the Philippines guidlines, go to the Embassy web site.

Ugh! Feeling frustrated. Our NOA2 notice date is November 17th and we haven't received anything yet stating that the NVC sent the petition to the U.S Embassy in Montreal. I'm currently on hold waiting to speak to someone at the NVC. It says the NVC processing should be complete within two to four weeks. Wellllllll yesterday was 4 weeks!

For anyone with a similiar timeline - NOA2 / 30th november - NVC received case yesterday and provided case number over phone.

Is this the NVC number you called? 603-334-0700? Been on hold waiting to talk to someone for almost 25 minutes. Our NOA2 date as Nov. 17th and we haven't got our case number yet.

On the NOA2 it says...

"Notice Type: Approval Notice Valid from 11/17/16 to 03/16/2017"

What does that mean?

I'm pretty sure it's just the time frame for when you need to have the interview by, if I'm not mistaken. Congrats on getting your case # :)

For anyone with a similiar timeline - NOA2 / 30th november - NVC received case yesterday and provided case number over phone.

Thank you for the update, congrats on the case number!! I'll have to call and see if they have ours ready!
