Hey guys! I haven't gotten my NOA2 yet but I'm just trying to get things in order. So when the beneficiary pays for the interview, do they have to be the one to actually pay or can I do it? Just trying to figure the bank situation doesn't fiance

It's probably a good idea to ask this question in the region-specific forums for the best answer. In Thailand, my fiancee simply paid at a local bank branch in cash. There was also an EFT (electronic funds transfer) option as well, but I believe that requires a Thai bank account.

Thank you Jim!! I will have to give NVC a call before the 23rd, try my luck! Hoping by that point some more NOA 2's will have been issued!

Yes give them a call can't hurt.

Zero approvals for VJ members so far from yesterday.

Have a great safe day there.

Hi Jass,

They don't care where the money originates (his or hers) as long as they get it via the directions the require..hehe.

As Narakthisus said above. Each country is slightly different as far as how it gets paid

That is the same airline I was going to use, will buy ticket once interview is done. I saw those prices, what days you flying?

Congrats to you guys on your progress so far! I know my fiancee is concerned about getting homesick and being away from her family, too.

Also, our case's CEAC status just got updated to READY!!!!!!! What a coincidence because my fiancee just received the I-134 and financial support docs I sent her last week.

Great news for you guys, sounds like you are prepared!

My fiancee actually downplays the thoughts of being homesick but I'm thinking otherwise, it's just human nature and probable a huge culture shock once they arrive here.

The DS-160 is valid 30 days, but if you pay fee before 23rd do you effectively lose the $$ should the interview not occur? Then do it again with new fee applied? Curious gamble I suppose. We feel like Malawi is obscure enough it might get punched through quick, yet also TIA(this is africa) and ####### my push through slowly. We are exploring getting medical done and have results officially done once packet 3 appears that side. Thoughts and, opinions welcome

No expiration on the completed form DS-160 unless there are changes made or the photo is out of spec.

I lifted that from another site somewhere....

Also - pay now before Dec 23... and you will not get hit for a pay difference later. The receipt# of the payment is valid for 1 year. I got that info from calling the 0888 number that you call to get your Case #.

Congrats on your NVC movement.

I've scoured the internet and am unable to find any reference to increase in the DS-160 which is currently $265

This is a US State Department fee.

It appears that only USCIS fees are going up next week.

Could be wrong but I can't find anything stating State Dept fees going up.

Hey Jstryker, did they tell you how much the fee will increase, currently $265. I can't find the new amount or did they just tell you the fact that what ever you pay is good for 1 year?

Thanks

Ok if your case was received by USCIS on 10/28 then this is for you.

Over the last week since 12/6 there have ben a total of 3 yes 3 approvals

It went from 39 to 42 there are currently now 39 RFE's and 42 approvals for I-129F's received that day.

Something is going on at USCIS and it is NOT good for those of us still waiting.

Very Frustrating but nothing we can do.

There are still 51 cases left with no decision.

For the 10/31 received dates it is much worse.

Still 333 No decision and only 15 approved unless something further comes in tonight.

In one weeks time CSC approved ONE petition for 10/31

One petition in one week with 330 left to be worked.

Time to focus on something else for a while.

Merry Christmas everyone be safe out there.
