I am SO happy for you!! Congrats!!  I knew you would be alright, but I also know you are a worrier like myself!   Glad you didn't get the "Stokes interview"!  Happy Days!!  I have been waiting half the day to hear from you, watching the clock.  Thanks for letting me know it is SO kind of you. Now you can get on with your life until Naturalisation if you are doing that!   One question, did they say why they called you for an interview in the first place? I find that a tad bizarre, you had joint everything other than bills and lease agreements.   I don't and wont have any of that not for a very long time and I do have my reasons for it, so if I go for an interview nothing will have changed with our bills.  Any way again Congratulations!!  So very happy for you both!!!

Thank you so much :D. We took so much in and she barely looked at it and didn't ask for any copies, lol.

From how she worded it, I could assume a few things. I filed with CSC. She said Vermont would be making/mailing out the green card, "sending it back to Vermont". There's been a lot of uncertainty about Vermont sending cases to other offices because of backload. There might have been a mix up. Anyway, somehow my CSC file ended up at VSC. With their backlog, it's possible they just said bollocks to it and sent it on to the field office.

The reason I imagine for the interview was not enough 'bona fides', in addition to the above. My case is unique; I've not seen any others been pulled straight to interview so early. She asked if there were any more 'bona fides' we had to submit since the initial application, leading me to think that's why VSC batted it off. I'm like, funny you should ask.. *pulls out two giant folders and an entire suitcase of copies* and she never asked what she wanted to see, she let me and the hubs just flick through and hand her whatever I wanted. I gave her life insurance, auto insurance, health insurance, my pre-US pension, a photo in the hospital of hubby sleeping while I'm hooked up to wires and our powers of attorney we got made last week, and ironically he acted as my healthcare POA over the weekend.

She asked about our wedding and I had an inch thick pile of wedding photos and she didn't ask once to see them :P. I asked if she needed to see any copies or photos and she was like "no you have plenty of bona fides" and talked about expecting to receive my green card within 30 days.

I asked about my upcoming move and whether I file the AR-11 within the 10 days AFTER the move, and she laughed a little saying she sees plenty who never even change their address, and it's mostly in case they need to get a hold of us for interviews or another reason, to have the right address on file: beyond that, there's no real 'penalty' for it. So submit it ofc but don't worry over it.

Even then, all she kept, as far as I know, was the hospital photo and the UK frozen pension I had in my husband's name since 2013. I think I sent that with K1 and AOS but I literally brought the entire kitchen sink from meeting till now

its very perplexing how they transferred your case from CSC to Vermont, when it should be the other way around. I wonder if she just got the wrong service centre or if Vermont are the ones to issue the cards?  Weird!

I will be honest with you and please don't take this wrong way, but I am wondering if they go on weight.  You said you had a !lb in weight of paper work and without looking at your case I am wondering if they thought there was insufficient weight to prove a case, without even looking at the evidence?  I know the people who I have met during AOS have filed a few pounds in weight of evidence.   I also hear that sometimes too much evidence can also end in an interview as they look at the load and feel they don't have time to go through it then send it to the field office.

I never thought of putting my UK pension in my husbands name, I didnt even think of putting it in my sons name as I am not sure I can even do that.  As for POA we haven't even thought of that. I find it hard to believe that the USCIS feel we should do all of this especially when my husband and I have our children to consider.  I wonder what happens to couples who decide to have a prenuptial?  Surely,it should be a choice made by the individual couples?

I am as pleased as punch you got your approval. It has made my day and I do hope that you are feeling better, its not easy being away from home and certainly not when you end up in hospital.    Thank you again for all your information, passing on info like this is what makes this site great and also people like you sharing their knowledge and experiences! :)

Filed in October 2016 and had interview in Detroit just as you in December.  But haven't heard anything since.  I will start stressing out at the end of the summer when we approach 1 full year.  Slowly getting anxious though.

Still nothing here either. I have just checked our buddies from "September 2016 filers" similar thread - Whoa, :blink:which tells me our cases are going to be processed Waaaaay  past a 1-year extension.

So..what to do if the extended authorized stay is over - and have not received info from them yet?? Just want to know in advance..

Can I file for naturalization though?  Been married for 4 years now...

It looks like some people here, are posting about Adjustment of status, not ROC. Which is confusing. The person on top of this.page with interview -sounds  more like AOS..

The person at the top of the page was not AOS they were actually ROC and had an interview. It was a one off, but it was definitely ROC. Not sure about the person who said they had an interview in December though.

Anyone with Vermont pending ROC got approved? Mine was received in October 2016, had my biometrics done in November 2016. Nothing after that...

Correcting my previous post. For some reason I thought this was the Oct 2015 ROC.

You're still within normal processing time. VCS takes about a year.
