new form i751 . confused about N/A, none and leaving blank. please help.

Hello , i am filing i751 this month , on `16th to be exact. i have everything ready. just confused about the new form instructions about N/A, and none.

Part1

1.c middle name . N/A or none or leave it blank?

other names used

i wrote my maiden name , last , given and middle for 2.a,2.b and 2.c

but there one more column. 3.a, 3.b, 3.c. and shall i write NONE or N/A?

N/A or none or Blank?

17.a (my physical address is NOT different than the mailing address)

so which one shall i write.? N/A , NONE or leave it blank?

5. A number for my husband , natural born us citizen

N/A or none?

physical address of us citizen spouse

postal code & province? i have already written ZIPCODE.

again here which one shall i wrtie? N/A, or none?

We have no children . my husband has a daughter from previous marriage

my step daughter is a us citizen by birth , i assume i dont need to add her here.

so i will write N/A on each line of children related questions?

and shall i wrtie N/A for interpreter or preparer's information in each line?

i just dont want to make any mistakes and create delays.

Middle name definitely leave it blank unless you want a 10-year card with John None Doe on it.

How about N/A? Do you feel they may confuse it for a middle name ?

Btw since i cannot type N/A on computer (the form wont allow it) i am writing it in black ink ,while my other details are typed in black on computer.

me and my husband have signed it in Blue ink , because i read on this forum that some people who signed in black got their petitions returned because uscis though they were not original .

Is it ok to type the most of application in black , write N/A in black and sign the petitions in blue ink?

I have the same question about if I have to leave in blank or type N/A , in my case we don't have children so i don't know if i have to type N/A or leave in blank ?

- in part 1 ( 2.a , 2.b , 2.c ...) , i don't have other names so i have the same question .

- and the ELIS account number we don't have it

please if someone can help me with this form , we have all the documents and maybe we will send it this weekend .

since i have not received any suggestions for my questions from original post , i will share what i have decided to do. i will put N/A for middle name. and put N/A on all the places like children ,interpreter, preparer ,province ,postal code etc etc. and we signed in blue ink so that they wont think its a copy or something. everything else is ready to go. we are using acco fastners and priority mail box and shipping it this friday !

I am about to file my I751 soon as well. same confusion here. And I think I will do what you did, put N/A at all irrelevant places.

You can type NA instead of N/A, or print out the form and write N/A on the paper with a black pen. In all of our paperwork so far I-130, etc, I put "none" on the first set of blanks under children and then left the rest blank and didn't have a problem. N/A on the A# for my USC spouse, etc.

Hi all. I am putting N/A under part 1 . 17a physical address, despite that I check the "no" box under 16 (that my mailing and physical address are the same) 

 

Is that what you guys did? Or you just left it in blank? 

 

Everywhere else i am putting N/A and in children we have a son together, so i couldnt put NONE.

Here's the instructions for the form I-751 about putting N/A and NONE:

 

3. Answer all questions fully and accurately. If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed. If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless otherwise directed.

Thank you so much Lemon23! but what do they mean with "unless otherwise directed" would that phrase be related to when we had check "no" in part 1 section 16 for no... that physical and mailing address is not different?

@Jose V if your mailing address and physical address is the same then put x mark to the NO box then put N/A to all of the fields of Physical Address 17a to 17f. Dont get confused on the words "unless otherwise directed" that means you need to put information on the field in the said fields are applicable to you.
