Hello guys , i am in a situation. I will tell you guys the truth about this. I overstayed in thailand because someone stole my money in my hotel room on the last day i had on me to apply for an extension in thailand. Now as it is a fine stacking up for each day and the fact that someone stole my money and that i have no other people in my life to help me with this situation had made me stuck here for a while. I havent worked though because i am retired but i have a very poor income which made me still not able to leave the country. nor did i dare to go to authorities with my problems here as they might throw me in a immigration prison for overstaying due to a crime. They just want money here.

Anywho, now i am back on my feet and i start working in 4 weeks again. before i go home i want to go visit my friend in California but i have some worries about the US customs. They are gonna be like aight, He overstay there with no respect in regards to rules and laws , what makes him not do the same over here? right. And i assume that they have heard any horror stories about what may have happened these people all the time, they probably heard my story too even if its true, you know what i mean.

But i wonder now, Is it going to be a huge issue? Now i dont know weather they can see ive been here on overstays as the overstay stamp is written in thai with some numbers on them. But if they do see it then what will they say? I have never violated any immigration rules and laws in United states. And i do have an Authorized Esta from last year that i can use.

In general, the USA does not care about overstays in other countries

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

You should not encounter problems entering the US on your ESTA.. if you plan a short US stay and have a return ticket. Thailand overstay should likely not be an issue.

Sorry! I am in thailand right now and i have been retired temporarily for certain reasons but going back to work again. And i am entering United states on an ESTA which is approved.

You should be fine, your overstay in Thailand has nothing to do with your admission to the U.S. on a visa waiver program.

Adjustment of Status From F-1 Visa.

8/14/2014: Mailed AOS package: I-130, I-485, I-765.

8/18/2014: Accepted in Chicago. Transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

8/21/2014: Received NOA 1. I-130, I-485, I-765 in mail.

8/25/2014: Received biometrics in mail. Scheduled for 9/8/2014

9/24/2014: EAD approved. 36 Days!

10/01/2014: EAD mailed.

10/03/2014: Received EAD card.

10/14/2014: I-485 moved to testing and interview.

1/28/2015: Interview scheduled for 3/4/2015.

1/31/2015: Received interview notice.

3/4/2015: Interview completed and APPROVED!

3/5/2015: Welcome notice mailed and I-130 Approved.

3/10/2015: Welcome notice and I-130 approval notice received.

3/12/2015: Green card mailed.

3/14/2015: Green card delivered.
