I've been wondering the same thing. At this rate some of us will be sending Citizenship paperwork before we hear...

I called USCIS a couple of days ago and they said VSC is backed up and currently handling mid December 2015 cases. Going to be a long wait

What's the website where we can check our ROC status? Also, do we input the receipt number on the I-797 NOA (extension letter) or the receipt number on the biometric appointment letter? Thanks for any reply.

USCIS - Case status - Log in, or create an account. Then put in your receipt number that starts with 3 letters.

 

Mine still says 'Received'. It hasn't changed since I submitted the ROC.

What do you mean create an account? Did you create an account when checking status updates during AOS? I don't recall creating an account then but I may be mistaken

I don't think the receipt number on the I-797 NOA is the correct one. And you don't need to create an account to check your status.

no you can't

" An application for naturalization may not be approved if there is a pending petition for removal of conditions. If an applicant’s petition to remove conditions is pending at the time of filing or is filed prior to the interview, USCIS will adjudicate the petition to remove conditions prior to or concurrently with the adjudication of the naturalization application "

Everything I've read on VJ says that you *can* go ahead and submit an application for naturalization as soon as you become eligible to do so.

If you're filing based on marriage (3 years minus 90 days) and your ROC hasn't been adjudicated yet, the naturalization application will "force" the adjudication of the ROC petition, as indicated above.

Yes, the two years of conditional green card do count towards the requirement for citizenship (unless, of course, you have issues with long absences from the U.S. during that time).

You can apply for citizenship after 3 continuous years of legal permanent residency in the US based on your marriage to a USC spouse. It may force the adjudication of your ROC but if it is being held up for security checks then it may not force anything along. That's what I've seen here on VJ.

Thanks for your response! It's very helpful to have the link talk about the requirements! I hope they can remove the condition and send me the green card before the letter expiration date.

Looks like most of the action is on April and May applications the last couple days... And it looked like they did May back-to-front, as there were approvals of later dates earlier in January but now it's all early May dates. There are still some people from March CSC waiting, and of course VSC applications are coming in from  last Jan and Feb now.

So 4-5 months to go for CSC Sep 2016 ROC filers? Is that the current estimate?

No, California is working on petitions submitted in May 2016 and Vermont is working on December 2015.

No yet! I am going out of the country soon and I was hoping to get my 10yr card before leaving the country... but I guess it was wishful thinking.
