Hello all! I've actually been here in the USA since July of 2015. I had my successful interview at the Montreal US Consulate shortly before the big move. Just wanted to tell the domicile thing you read about on here is true! My wife had been in Canada with me since 2002 and at the very end of the interview the topic was brought up. Luckily, my wife had maintained a mailing addtess at her parents, a US bank account with US address and a valid North Carolina ID card. It was a real tense moment but then he said You're Approved!

If they are approved, many move onto their relevant NVC month discussion thread, few return back to the i-130 discussion.

Hello everyone. Happy New Year to you all. Sorry already 4 days into new year but still:rolleyes:. So today my wife called USCIS to inquire about our case. What we got to know was very :(. The representative at USCIS was like, still we are looking into cases of JULY 7 and it will take nearly less than 2 months for our NOA2 to arrive:angry:. This is very sad to know that these people are lagging behind so much. Just pray for this thing to get approved as soon as possible. It's already 4 months since we applied . Hopes up as always. Take care everyone and congratulations to all the people who got approved and Prayers for all who are still waiting like me to get approved. Stay safe. Take care

Which service center do you guys have and i have filed mines 3 'onths but i have potomac

Thu have touched cases that was submitted in august the 30, 2016. So they are passed your date but every case is different.

Guys so my packet arrived to the NVC on 1/3 and got scanned on 1/4.

 

I've been reading all the horrible remarks that the NVC thread everyone has been posting about the NVC review taking forever. uhuhuhuhu I once read somewhere that NVC stage is the easiest stage but it looks like as of late, they are really dropping the ball. Most people's cases there go into supervisor review. And most are taking 8-10 weeks to get a case complete at NVC before they even submit to an embassy. I really don't want to get discouraged but, it really sucks. It's looking like USCIS is easier to talk to and better with paperwork than NVC.

p.s. called NVC yesterday, and the lady told me it's better if a case doesn't go to supervisor review (it can add like another 40-60 days). But she said that supervisor reviews happen when a case has fallen out of the expected time frame (in this case 6 wks between scan and case complete).

09/24 - Sent out I-130 to Phoenix, AZ

09/26 - Received at Phoenix (somewhere in between, the I-797 was mailed and marked back to sender due to post office error)

10/24 - Finally got the I-797 NOA-1 resent to me - forwarded my case to NSC

11/04 - Status changed to RFE

11/12 - Got the RFE letter in the mail (certified copy of marriage certificate)

11/18 - Mailed in RFE response

11/21 - RFE received at USCIS

11/21 - RFE status changed to response review

11/29 - Case approved at USCIS

12/03 - Received NOA-2 in the mail

12/09 - Case sent to NVC

12/15 - Case received by NVC

12/20 - NVC case number and IIN assigned

12/21 - DS-261 submitted online & gave email addresses

12/22 - Had NVC review DS-261 over the phone, paid AOS fee

12/24 - Paid IV fee

12/28 - Submitted DS-260

12/29 - Submitted packet to NVC via FedEx

01/03 - Packet delivered to NVC

01/04 - NVC scan date

03/02 - NVC Supervisor Review

03/16 - Case Complete at NVC

03/30 - Interview date confirmed over phone (and P4 email?)
