Forms your Beneficiary Fiance Must Sign

Hi,

I was looking for a few related topics to this but I just couldnt seem to find any.

This may also be helpful for those preparing for I-129F application.

Rather than sending unsigned documents to the Philippines to the beneficiary, I told him he can print it out there and sign what he needs to sign THEN he can send it to me.

To be clear this is what I have sent him via EMAIL to send to me (via Fedex) for the application submission:

1. G-325A (Beneficiary)

2. Letter of Intent to Marry (Beneficiary)

3. Declaration of how we met [Optional, but I wanted to show them that we both agreed on our happy love story and not just have my signature (Petitioner).]

Am I missing anything else?

Oh, but don't worry, I'll send him a duplicate of our whole I-129F packet once I complete it, after I receive his signed ones for his embassy interview.

Not necessarily true. Some have received RFE for original signatures.

The beneficiary does not need to sign the "how we met". It is actually a question that has space for answer on the I-129f form. You only need include an additional sheet if you need more room. It can be one sentence. Does not need to be a long drawn out story.

And I think the first part, I may need his hard signature for my I129f application. Just the ones I just mentioned above that is. They did mention all original documents... right?

Yes, 2-3 years ago. USCIS removed the instructions that says they require wet signature a couple of yers ago at least, because it's not needed anymore. There's not one person in the RFE K-1 list that got an RFE for that.

Ebassies usually require wet signatures, yes. And certified copy of your divorce decree if you were previously married.

You can use the search tool and see the many previous threads regarding the original "wet" signature controversy. It's up to you how you want to proceed. I sent in originals, but that was awhile ago. They may be more lenient now.

That is correct! I am the petitioner.

So that means his role is just to sign the G-325A (beneficiary) and the Letter of intent to marry (beneficiary) right?

I have the other forms and documents covered on my part.

Yes, he signs those two, scans them and emails them to you. Unless he really want to send them via regular mail. You need a passport photo of him too. If you haven't yet found the K-1 visa guide here on VJ then take a look at it, very good info there.

Right on! Yup, got everything else, he's gonna have to send me his photo with signature on the back though so I guess I'll have him send me wet signature of his other two docs. Thanks!

Just Beneficiary's G-325A, Passport photo Signed on the back and dated, and Letter of Intent to Marry.

You don't have to sign the passport photo, neither for him nor you. Just write his full name on the back of it, place it in a plastic bag and put his name on the bag too. Same for you. You can do this yourself, as long as you just have his photo.

"One passport-type photo (see specification) of the foreign fiance. Write the full name of the foreign fiance on the back. Place in a plastic bag and label the bag "Photo of (insert foreign fiance name) ". Attach the bag to a sheet of paper and place behind the corresponding G-325a."

Only full name is needed. No signature or date.
