I wonder if some can share their experience about:

- Today I went for finger printing second time to ASC office as per my appointment because the letter said "The FBI was unable to process your fingerprint

card"; the scanning machine did same thing as it did the last time (kept rejecting the prints). I am afraid they may not be able to read them second time too.

- My question is if they could not read the fingerprints, what USCIS will ask next I have heard many stories that:

- You have to go the local police station to get your police report (I have found out that local police refers your to State Police of that State, which is fine

at least you don't have to go to each local police station for a report, State Police report will so it)

- OR you have get police reports for last five years.

- Someone also mentioned that "depends who is reading the prints at FBI

I am kind of confused, don't want to be surprised just wanted to be ready for next step that is why I have stated this thread.

Thanks you all

Hello everyone,

I wonder if anyone can help me with their experience about interview on Adjustment of Status.

I checked my application status on line this morning, it says that " Case is ready to scheduled for interview".

Can anyone please tell:

What kind of questions they ask in the interview and what do I have to bring with me besides original (copies) of all documents I have submitted with my application.

My son/sponsor have to be present/available for this interview as well?

One more question, my fingerprinting was done second time on July 28 ,016 (because first set of fingerprints were not readable) does this mean that they are going to wait for result of second set of fingerprints before actually sending interview date (letter) I am sort of confused.

Thanks in advance for your help

At the interview, bring everything listed in the interview letter and originals of all documents already submitted. Questions at the interview are discussed on this forum and others. It's a combination of verifying what's in your application and clearing up anything vague. My own interview lasted 10 minutes.

Good luck.

Is it also possible to get a green card or a GC interview without an EAD,

Yes.

Hi everyone - I would appreciate if anyone can share their experience about interview time line.

I have checked the update of my i-485, it says: "As of Aug 2, 2016 your i-485 is ready to be scheduled for interview"

My question: Does anyone know from their experience how long it takes them to send interview schedule letter.

Thanks you all

It took us about almost two weeks to get the letter, but I had called two weeks prior to receiving the letter and was told when my husbands interview had been scheduled for. Good luck!!

Re: Parent of a US Citizen

If I check the USCIS website for update it says "as of Aug 2, 2016 we are ready to schedule for interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a letter. Please follow instruction on the letter". The status has not changes since than, I have called them and talk to USCIS customer service agent 2 weeks ago. He said the same thing that you need to wait for a letter of interview.

I already have received my EAD on Aug 8, 2016

My priority date is May 16 2016

Can anyone help with their experience what to do next

Thanks in advance

Wait for your interview letter. It took me 5 and a half, almost 6 months for my N-400 to get from "in-line for interview" to the interview letter to reach my mailbox. The interview itself was a month after the letter arrived.

I would be thankful, if someone can share their experience narrating kind of question USCIS asks from a parent of a US Citizen. I would appreciate if ONLY parent interview is discuss in this topic. With all due respect, I don't want to know the questions asked during spouse interview.

Thanks in advance,

There is very little to ask. General chit chat seems the norm.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
