Good morning,

I just came back from USCIS office, had an infopass appointment. I received NOA August 1, 2016 and my extension letter was about to expire October 28, 2017. The officer said they are taking at least a year or two on our cases and gave me 1-year extension stamp in passport. I asked if I need to do anything else, he said usually they call for an interview for i-751. Oh well! Just thought I would let you guys know about my appointment.

Right, usually they call but only 2 people out of hundreds on this forum reported they had been called for the interview. Also did the officer really said one year OR TWO? If so, I have no comments on the reliability of information they provide.

I wonder if, now that the field offices are seeing so many of us getting the I-551 stamp and comparatively few of us coming in for interviews, they will figure out that (regardless of what they've heard) not all that many people (percentage-wise) get called in for interviews?

But that would require independent critical thinking on their part.... :-)

Trust me, they're aware of it long time. I'm pretty much sure, their major concern will become newbies in all the categories. However, of course they will continue conducting interviews for the current I-751 just because it's required by law.

Has anyone with a late July 2016 / early August 2016 receipt number,  used that naughty little 'USCIS Case Tracker & Searcher' app to look at where we are at with CSC approvals? The most recent version of the app filters by CRI-89 application types.

What app?

September 25th: I-130 Emergency petition filed at US Embassy in Lima.

October 3rd: I-130 Petition Approved.

October 10th: Consular Section sent checklist and notification scheduling my spouse's visa interview for November 13th.

thats not true at all. Vermont is almost done with Sept filers with out any interviews. So if its the new administration policy to conduct interviews then it would be applicable for both CSC and VSC

I got my approval letter last week. It's definitely more than a year since I filed the application around August 15, 2016. Now I'm waiting for the card.

Btw, my case status nrv updated since they received my application. The only update I got is they notified me they received the application and sent me the NOA letter.

I was so frustrated abt the waiting, but there is nothing I can do abt it. Then I finally made my peace with it around May. Now I finally got it.

I would say as long as you have a bonafide marriage, you will be just fine. I'll wish all the best to fellows who haven't gotten the approval letter.

That is exactly what I am saying. They do not conduct interviews for I-751 because in the circumstances of limited resources they would better focus on newbies, that is on people who is supposed to have only one interview in the overall process.
