The quote marks is actually code, you can see it by clicking on the " light switch" button at the top left corner of the toolbar when you go to post a reply. You can try quoting this post, for example, by using the button at the bottom of where it appears in the thread. Once you see the quote in a new reply box, click on the light switch and delete the beginning and end code that includes

but keep everything in the middle. Maybe someone else can explain it better ...

I'm not sure why some send this via express mail - i mean, this thing will be a 6-10 months procedure anyway so getting it there one day ahead of time doesn't really matter. LOL. As long as it's there before your 90 days are up, you're good. For me it was a difference of $45, that's for one day faster.. Anywho, just my five cents.

Well, everyone has different situations and motivations. Just like some love vanilla ice cream and others hate it. In my case I work full time, I go to college in the eveninings taking 2 classes per semester and 1 during summer. I am also a wife and a mother of a newly teenager who is going back and forth from 2yr old stage and 11 year old (taking stress to another level). I also run marathons. Saturdays and Sundays are even busier for me, I catch up with homework, assignments, study for exams, clean, do laundry, grocery shopping, and cooking for the rest of the week so we bring a balanced homemade meal for lunch to work, my husband and my son can just warm up dinner the evenings I am in class, and the highlight of those weekends is not to set up alarm at 4:45am.so yes I have a very busy schedule.

When the earliest date to submit I 751 arrived, had just finished with a very rough Spring semester. I barely catched my breath to start first session of summer class. 16 weeks of lecture of a regular semester, had to be covered in just 5. When I finally finished Summer class, 3 days later we went on vacation that were planned months in advance. 10 days hiking in Yosemite and Sequoia Ntl Forest were not joke. Came home and back to work, and knowing that I am in perfect shape within my 90 days window, I was still stressing over the preparation of the package. I had everything! I just had to put it together and it took me a week having few hours every evening, while waiting for other members to answer few questions I had, no one responded so I had to dive online for hours past midnight in search for those answers. I finally finished last Saturday but a little too late to send it via USPS.

I could have sent it during the break between end of Spring semester and beginning of Summer session, but WHAT IF I RECEIVE BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT DURING THE TIME WE WERE OUT ON VACATION? why anyone would take that chance?

What if it gets returned like in ElenaSK case? what if UPSP loses the package and it takes several days to figure that out?

Here! this is one of the vast array of cases why people feel like send the package expedited. It gives some sense of comfort knowing that there won't be one more day to delay the process for any other reason.

Oh man, wavj, I hear you. From a crazy 2 year old toddler, to grad school, two jobs, and everything else you described, I feel accomplished that we managed to send before the deadline (Aug 27 in my case ). I pretty much did the same thing, worked on the package a night, and being a perfectionist and having a huge amount of actual evidence did not make it easy. Oh, and we also sent it overnight (twice!). We actually did time the filing closer to the deadline because I am still currently abroad and did not want to take chances with missing my biometrics appointment.

Got it wavj, but you're not alone. I think my life might be busier than yours and - yes - I do have a toddler as well that's taking a lot of time, and in between business trips, work, vacation and a huge remodel of our new home that's been going on for a couple of years with daily contractor engagements - it was hard for me to find time to prep the full package, but I spent a full night to compile it once all documents were in place. No sleep. 4 inches thick weighing in at 8.5lbs.

I didn't see why one day will help me either way so I just sent it flat rate for $13 instead of $58.

All good tho, you have your reasons.
