Dear All, 

 

just a quick question:

 

anybody have passed the extension letter deadline and not get the stamp? Is the stamp necessary if you don’t travel? 

 

My extension letter expires next week and I have not got the stamp on my passport - should I or keep waiting?

Stamping is not mandatory... this is not a visitor Visa that expires..

Thanks a lot @friendlyusa. That`s what three different immigration officer told me over the phone but just wanted to make sure.

My ROC finally approved Tuesday 10/3/17 5.30pm central time (NOA1 Date: 07/05/16 ) Only received email notification, no sms even though I configured my account to sent sms.

Yes, if I'm interpreting your post correctly, the call center employees almost always quote the processing dates shown on the USCIS website as though it were actually current, and not (as we can tell by actually reading the processing dates chart) reflecting the processing date as of over a month ago. 

It seems to be policy to do so... and I've been frustrated by that (on and off) since first filing in 2013.

On October 6, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number xxxx

 

Can't wait to receive the GC and then I will apply for the N-400, all documents are already ready but I wanted to wait until the 10 yrs GC to attach to the list. It was a long wait (July 7, 2016 to October 6, 2017) but I can't wait to move forward with the last step.
