The letter would come at the same of the GC if the interview was waived. So it could take 10-18 months for that to come but most likely will take between 13-16 as per current processing time. If your I751 package was complete and honest, most likely you won't be asked for an interview. It also helps if you asked to waive it in your package. 

 

If you receive the letter for the interview, be ready to go there with your spouse, brining a exact copy of your I751 package, multiple valid IDs, marriage certificate, etc... (Original + copies).

the question was more directed to the people who had gotten their GC in September from the CSC  (or even VSC), since on those time lines , there's no "interview date" before getting the GC. (other filers, from previous months, will always have the interview date posted.)

Yes, the I551 stamp IS effectively the green card.

@HappyinLove2014 already said the officer took the expired green card. It doesn't matter, though - the passport with the stamp is exactly the same as a valid green card  so you wont' need anything else to travel.

Hey friends. A few August filers said that although their case status hadn't been updated, it showed on their USCIS account that the latest update date (meaning their case being touched) was yesterday. Mine still shows 7-22-16 (NOA date) as the latest update date. Just thought it's weird. Did you check yours?

N-400:

07/19/2019: Applied online

08/07/2019: Biometrics 

01/22/2020: Interview scheduled

02/26/2020: Interview.

02/27/2020: Status changed to Approved. Oath scheduled for 03/18/2020

Just checked mine... it still says last update was on my NOA as well, 7-5-16. Really hoping this all starts happening for us!!

Thank you for checking. I'm thinking those who have a recent update date are those who also filed N-400 already. That's why their i-751's were touched before ours. Let's hope so.

I also filed my N400 and my I-751 hasn't been updated since 19th July 2016. We are both filing from Orlando.
