Still waiting for the packet from embassy to reach fiance. The case updated date on CEAC was initially Sept 26 but then updated on Sep 29 so I'm guessing thats the date that they actually mailed it

Just scheduled our medical and interview in London Nov and Dec were pretty open for interviews and one date left in October. Medical seemed easy to book as well. Needed to pay the visa fee before booking interview( for U.K. Filers) it seems. Hope everyone else filing is going smoothly!

Congrats you got it! anytime we all get it done. We have our NVC number but my fiance is getting a new passport and I am traveling tomorrow to see him bringing my affidavit and all docs he may need

Strange! Though the USCIS does send the files to the NVC in bulk instead of individually, I guess my assumption that they only have one box or crate at a time that they're filling is incorrect.

When I got the case number, the woman said that they had just received our case that day so they're still processing it. I have a feeling yours will be today or tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!!!!

Thank you Ceisen and Allison for the well wishes! I figured they sent them out in bulk as well. I just keep reminding myself that they send ALL case types to the NVC eventually so maybe mine was just towards the bottom of the box ><

If I don't get a case number tonight or Wednesday that is when I may go into panic mode! I hope to not have to. After reading that some have waiting 3 months for their NVC number I think I started to worry myself a bit. Our packet when I originally sent it was very small only 15 pages in total so I hope they didn't lose it or forget it about it because it was so small :unsure::unsure::unsure:

Edit: Also I just checked both your timelines Ceisen and Allison! You sent your case back in early July! You guys have already been waiting an extra 20 days over me! I am glad your got your LND numbers first! I can wait an extra few days if you guys could wait an extra 20 just to get your NOA2!!!

Yes... waiting a little longer than others to receive the NOA2 was really getting depressing, even though receiving it in 71 days is quite fast in comparison to past months of filers this year. So I understand feeling guilty for feeling panicked regarding your own case, but that's the thing. Yes, it's amazing that it's so quick lately, but each of us feel it when others around us are zipping along and you feel left behind, even if it's by only a week or two. It's all relative. And it's shocking that there are still some July filers waiting to receive their NOA2s!

Hang in there! :D I know it's easier said than done, but no need to panic just yet.

And a hint... when you call and they ask for your receipt number, then the date, then you know they don't have it yet. But if they ask for your name, the beneficiary's name and birth date after asking for the receipt number, then they DO have your case number. It took me off guard when the woman was asking more questions than usual, but it made sense in the end.
