Just an update. I got the RFE in the mail today. I will get what they need back out to them tomorrow in the mail.

OMG Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I'm so happy that it is indeed a quick turnaround for you!

Looks like they skipped over my application, I guess they aren't wanting to deal with 250 pages just yet :/

No they didn't. Your NOA1 is 7/27. Ntoning to worry even though others with same NOA1 date have been approved. Note that this is so random. There are people from 7/1 through 7/6 waiting. That's first week of July and that's disheartening. Wish everyone quick approvals especially those waiting since the beginning of the month. I was feeling left behind at some point, so I get it.

I know this isn't unique to my fiance and I, but the waiting is excruciating. I cried myself to sleep last night as we vented our frustrations via skype. It feels like injustice, fear, excitement, all at once. Just not knowing what is happening and being completely left in the dark, meanwhile trying to not feel as if our lives are on hold, yet not having the motivation to do much beyond what is necessary to meet basic human needs until our life together can begin.

At the same time I feel silly for typing all of this, especially with the tone sounding so melodramatic to me. So many times I have seen past VJ posts from others in our exact position lamenting having not yet received an approval. Then I view their timeline to see that they only had to wait another week or two until they received what they so desperately awaited. Even in this very forum some have expressed worry and sadness only to be approved the next day. I know it's coming, but some days are easier than others to remain positive and rational in the face of the unknown. Today is just not one of those days for me, especially with the long weekend ahead, and no approvals for 3 days.

I hope that we and others here are able to look back at this time period and find that soon after the height of our anxiety we too received what we desperately awaited.

I really empathize with you, Allison. I really hope tonight is yours. I really do.

I have a friend that works at the CSC and he mentioned exactly what soulstriker said. He said: It only takes me 10-15 minutes to approve an application if everything that I am looking for is there!! He also said that every application is different but in average if everything is there and the application is complete. (10-15 min).

Agree, If you read the old forum here in VJ there was a post about a guy who use to work as adjudicator of petition in NSC. He did said that it only take about 15 min. to approve or send out for RFE.

Wow that is a lot faster than I thought! It makes the wait time seem even more unnecessary..... thanks for the response, I really thought it must take much longer than that to review cases. Oh well, all we can do is wait.

That's a GREAT comedy now. July 08 through july 27 are approved for less than 40 days. And we, july 1st till july 5th, we are waiting waiting waiting over 60 days now.

it is a non sense. It means nobody has been found to work on our case yet. So people after us wait less. Whatever explanation one can give me. I can't take it. It is a non sense.

Don't feel left out. We're July 25th and aren't approved. It's not about being in order, it's truly just a random approval. We're still patiently waiting, as any approval before October will be way beyond what we could ever hope and pray for. Just keep positive, keep yourself busy and it will be quicker than you realise :-)

And please remember, they are only 20% of the way through the July applications, so there are still about 80% of us who still have not been approved. Don't stress, June is almost completely approved, so it's our month either way. Next week is a new week and September 30 is the end of the Fiscal year, so chances are we will all be approved by then :-) I am keeping you all in my prayers (and myself!)

In the meantime, do some wedding planning, get excited, distract yourself, start selling belongings, read some books, listen to some podcasts, go out with some friends, keep busy and occupied! I have tried planning some wedding things while I am not with my USC fiance and it makes all the time go faster. We're wedding photographers too, so my job is to photograph people in love on their wedding day (www.indwellweddings.com) and that definitely hurts me some days, but for the most part, I am just excited that eventually, that will be us! And you too! You just need to wait for your time :-)

WE GOT OUR NOA2 today!!!!!!! sorry for the over excitement don't want to seem obnoxious but I'm so happy.

Hey everyone I just checked my case on the USCIS website because I was getting impatient and going stir crazy about the NOA2. I was getting all paranoid thinking I did something wrong or missed something on the 129f. Just to disclose, I met my fiance online through a dating website, OK Cupid. But I didn't mention the name of the dating website. So then I started getting SUPER paranoid about RFE.

But after all the waiting... the time has come and now onto the next steps. Which I may need some help on because a lot of it is really confusing.

Just wanted to tell everyone to relax (even though I went a little nutty), take a deep breath and think only good positive thoughts. Your time will come.
