i have a question, some people in the June filers are talking about calling the NVC for a case number. why would they do this ? To what advantage is it to have a case number after the approval of the petition ?

We'll try to get our case number from the NVC prior to it arriving at the US Embassy in London so my fiance can schedule his medical exam, then he can fill out the forms online in order to schedule the interview. He can do this prior to the embassy receiving the case, so it could potentially cut 2 or 3 weeks out of the process. It's not a LOT, but hey, anything we can finally control instead of feeling we're at everyone else's mercy, we'll take it!

Good luck!

I just want them to finish July! I have a NOA 1 date of July 22nd and no news about my case yet :(

I'm going to be in Morocco starting the 9th of Sept and I'd LOVE to have our NOA 2 by then so we can celebrate together and maybe even get an interview while I'm there. *fingers crossed*

I wouldn't worry that you haven't had anything yet. My NOA1 was 7th July and zippedy zip for us but I positively hopeful it will happen when it is supposed to :)

Congrats! So good to know our month is getting approved. And it's true, our month and next, August have less filers and the fiscal year is coming to the end. I hope we all will be approved very fast! Praying for all of us, including me, of course

One thing that is noticed on here is how these RFE's are apparently so random despite all the information given is.

Maybe someone at the USCIS is just having a bad day because most of them don't make a whole lot of sense.

Did they specify what it might be about at all?

I agree. Its all about random...I seen people got approve in 10 days file same date as I did.. and got their NOA2..So I really believe it random and depends on your case..because people some complex case and some are very simple case

I don't know specific what they need..I tried to call them but still didn't through..

I my app all they mentioned, is my case RFE..

I have read that including things like engagement ceremony pictures can be a red flag because they will wonder if you actually got married and should be filing the Spouse Visa instead. That could not be what's happen in your case, but that is something I've read about with others.
