@Cody LA it should get easier from here! If you're a British citizen and travel frequently, you can also get Global Entry. Some credit cards offer it for free. It makes life easier when crossing US border and travelling domestically (since it comes with TSA Pre).

  • 3 weeks later...

My timeline:

  • 21 November 2022 - Paid IV fees
  • 11 January 2023 - Entered via LAX
  • 2 February 2023 - Card is being produced
  • 6 February 2023 - Card is being mailed / USPS picked it up
  • 9 February 2023 - Received Card in the mail

Seems they're speeding up green card production 🙂

@Pat2021 thanks for sharing your timeline! Is the address something you can choose when paying the IV fee or does it go to the address you nominate during the interview at the consulate? Did you need to sign for card on delivery?

They asked me to confirm the address during my interview and then once again during immigration. You should also be able to change it at any time via AR11 before card gets dispatched.

As to the delivery, it was just standard USPS mail into the mailbox, no signature or anything like that.

Hi everyone

Can someone comments on this?

It is 30 days and not receive our physical card yet.

At the border, the office told us just present the passport and she did not even look at  and open our packet. and we just took and  returned the packet with us. She said all are electronically .

However, my wife she received her SSN after one week. Any comment?

Thanks

You must visit any USCIS office near you to make sure if they need the packet returned to you at border since Electronically sent cases doesn't involve Packets !

How long is it taking people to get their GC post arrival? We are entering Honolulu in early March and would like to understand current wait time to receive GC in the post.

It's normally within 60 days in Electronically submitted package cases ( If you are not holding any Package given to you by US consulate).

Hi, does anyone know if you can apply for jobs while waiting for your green card? And what else do you need to to be able to apply for jobs (work permit? SSN? GC? all of it?) Thank you!
