my grandparents want to leave the US after only 3 months of being in the us with a ir5 visa

as said in the title will there be any trouble of them wanting to leave so early after receiving the visa and staying after 3 months?

There is no trouble. Just keep in mind that since they are permanent residents now, they can't be out of the country for more than a yr. They'll lose their permanent residency. Sometimes even considering other circumstances, you can lose your residency after 6 months. If they are going to be out for long, Get re-entry permits for them to preserve their resident status.

they have their residencies so im guessing theyre going to stay in their home country about a month till the vacation time limit expires or something of the sort(they just told me that they also have their residencies but a family member is holding onto them)

I am guessing that they are required to live in those residences for a certain amount of time each year or they lose them? I have a friend whose parents had to go back to Portugal once in a while to hold onto their land and homes there.

Their IR visa is for residing in the US. are they planning of stay in their country for 6 months after they only have been here for 3?

If they plan on double residing they will be in jeopardy of losing their permanent residency here as immigration tracks these sort of things.

Or do they just want to spend a few months back in their country and return for good to the US later?
