mine is there since Aug 12 ..!!! I called them today and they told me that everything is ok they will send it soon.

I also asked them "why are you holding my case is more than a week now I've seen cases sent the day after assigned a case number" and she told me not all the cases are the same you have to wait until we send it to Embassy

She also said that I will receive an email stating that my case in in transit. Im just mad because my case moved faster thru USCIS and also they sent it to NVC faster and now they keep it there doing nothing.

Well, at least you know your case is ok now. My guess is NVC people, who is assigned to do this specific region/countries might wait until the cases have reached to a certain number and then transmit all together.

So we got our packet 3 email.

Wish i can be happy but it sucks coz they sent our case to a wrong embassy!!!! So annoying.:cry:

We immediately called NVC and inform it. But they told us to call the embassy in Abu Dhabi UAE as they cant do anything about it ( true ? ). Its hard to catch Abu Dhabi USEM on phone so we just emailed them. We also replied the Riyahd USEM where are case sent. I dont know how fast they'l rectify our case. It's just stupid NVC didnt checked the address properly before sending cases.

Is there anyone who experienced the same?

Hello everyone!

Just updating: after getting NOA2 at the end of July and our NVC case number about 10 days ago, we are still waiting to hear from the consulate in Rio. The status at the CEAC website says "ready" and states that our case is at the consulate since last tuesday, but my fiancee e-mailed them and they replied saying that it's still not there, even though the CEAC tracker say it is. Very frustrating, I mean... almost one week to send us an automatic e-mail with instructions to schedule the interview, how hard can it be?

Anyway, we are glad things are moving fast, we really can't wait to be with each other and this time to never say goodbye again.

Best of luck to everyone!

can my fiance drive in michigan with an international drivers license?

Hello, I also live in Michigan and I called the sos. They told me yes but it has to be translated (whatever that means) but in Michigan they can apply for a drivers license once they get here. All they need is the proof of the visa and 2 proofs of residency. Hope that helps.

wow good to know you live in michigan as well. Well if thats the case then why spend more money for international drivers license when he can get a michigan DL as soon as he arrives.

Yes, true. So don't spend the money, I know different states have different laws. So I wanted to make sure we were ok with him driving. It would be a little boring if we are at work all day and them stuck at home with no car hahaha.

They need proof of address, like a cell phone bank account or utility bill in his name so he can prove his address.
