USCIS approval -> NVC for background check -> embassy/consulate -> medical -> interview…

Ive been seeing a wait of several weeks (2-4) from NOA2 to you getting a case number at the NVC. So we are in for the wait :(

Congratulations to all the approvals!! Crossing my fingers for the rest of us.

Now I'm starting to get a little nervous, I didn't put a ton of evidence into the packet because I read somewhere that having a very large packet could slow down the process.. but now I'm seeing that it's better to "front load" the packet :( We sent 10 photos with dates and locations on the back (we didn't think to take the pictures with timestamps at the time...) 8 pages of chat and call logs, 8-10 hotel confirmations, all of the e-tickets for our flights (about 14 including return flights), and letters that were sent in the post.

We also did our supplement in regards to how we met in a bullet style instead of writing a story. We simply met over the internet over common interests and hobbies then proceeded to speak and text every day, then meeting about 7 times over the 2 years... not overly complicated. I've read the wiki here inside and out and followed the checklist, went over it at least 10 times.

:( Hoping for some peace of mind... was this too little information for the I-129F?

I sent the same thing I put the dates in the pictures by hand. I followed the instructions one of the requirements was meet a least one time in the last 2 years I think you have enough proof. lets see how it goes. please keep us posted I will do the same. My NOA 1 was May 27.

My NOA1 is May 25th! I will definitely keep everyone posted, I owe so much to VJ, without this website I don't think this would have been possible to do on our own.

I've been seeing recently that people have been calling USCIS about their NVC case # and USCIS is saying it could take up to 90 days to go to the NVC. I hope it'll be faster than that and that the 90 days is something USCIS is just saying to maybe get people to stop calling.

Saw that too… but Ive also seen a 3 week mark somewhere? It seems like people are getting different answers.

Yeah, I've seen that and then the normal waiting time. It's all over the place I guess :unsure: Hopefully everyone will have the shortest wait time!

Yea... This second wait kinda put a downer on it. Lol. Anyways it took me 69 days to get approved and my noa1 was May 3rd. Hopefully thats gives some people here in May some confidence that they are next. Good luck everyone!

According to someone who works for DHS the wait for visas going to NVC from USCIS is not because they are not sent to NVC it is because NVC only has so many workers and there is a backlog of visas. It is ALL visas they are sent for background checks and validations.

The wait stinks but at least we don't have to sit on pins and needles waiting for an approval. ☺️
