Hello Everyone! I wanted to post this for those of you who are beyond the 75-day mark inon EAD documents. I sent in my paperwork on March 30, 2016, and it was received on March 31st. I received the NOA on April 7. I have already put in a service request and haven't received any sort of update. My interview is scheduled for July 14. As you can tell, I am SUPER CLOSE to the 90-day deadline and, as some of you have mentioned, it's frustrating to see that EADs from April have already been approved! It makes me wonder if they skipped over me haha.

Nah they didn't skip you. Whole duration of process seems to be very individual for each case and depends on the local office and complexity of your case.

Oh, what a day, what a lovely day!

Is creating a service request online the same as doing it with a representative over the phone?

I started counting from the received date of my NOA1.

I still can't access my EAD and AP case numbers online and it'll be my 75th day this Wednesday. Didn't receive any RFEs or whatsoever. I'm just wondering what's taking them so long to process my application. ? Maybe they just tossed it away and is already on the bottom part of the pile.

April 13, 2016 – AOS, EAD & AP sent (Day 1)

April 15, 2016 – Received date on the NOA1 (Day 2)

April 22, 2016 – Received SMS & E-mail Notification (Day 9)

April 25, 2016 – Received Hard Copy of NOA1 (Day 12)

May 2, 2016 – Received Biometric Appointment (Day 19)

May 13, 2016 – Biometric Schedule (Day 30)

May 30, 2016 – Updated I-485 to “Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for Interview” (Day 47)

June 29, 2016 - Submitted Service Request (Day 76)

July 13, 2016 - EAD & AP approved (Day 89)

Yes! I got texts (since I applied for AOS w/ concurrent filing of I-130) for both my cases at around 06:30PM - which is exactly 10 hours since receiving the notification that my card was being produced.

:content:

So I'm guessing its just a matter of time before the mail gets delivered to my mailbox.

Just out of curiosity, is it possible to get hold of the tracking number of the mail? I see that earlier AOS cases had the tracking number sent out to them, which is what got me thinking that if I were to call the customer care team would they be in a position to give it to me.

Contemplating to do that or wait patiently for the mail (read: stalking the mailman) :clock:

we have pretty much the same dates, and I've called USCIS almost everyday and nothing yet.

Hang in there I guess?

I opened a online inquiry on my EAD two days ago, today is already day 83 since they received my case and nothing! This is so frustration, my old EAD expired on May 12th, and my job is waiting for my new EAD to put me back on payroll, I am not sure how long more they will be willing to wait.... Even more frustrating its that according to visa journey's timeline they are already approving cases from April 7th, my case is April 4th!!!! #######?!?!

Hello people!

I think it is crazy how some have gotten their GCs without even an interview and the rest of us are stuck with no news of anything, weird RFIE, etc. It seems from what I read that there's no middle ground with us april filers. I just can't wait for all of us to be moving forward with the process.

I had gotten a RFIE that was pretty hard to reply to. They needed me to get extra papers from my joint sponsor (father in law) and then I got wrapped up in a mess of information with USCIS. I was transfered several times to a tier 2 and was told information that I knew for a fact wasn't true. At my first infopass I had been told that my joint sponsor's benefits were ok to count as income (since they aren't means-tested) and then was told by tier 2 officers that they didn't count. I argued with them, read them the memos from the USCIS website, the RFIE letter and told them that I knew people who had used them as income successfully and the last tier 2 officer ended up telling me that he was confused so that maybe I was right. That's it. An immigration officer, who is supposed to know this stuff (or at least read the agency memo about it) was confused. These are the people who have the power to reject your application based on their own ignorance.

Anyway, my husband's mom died last week and so my RFIE took a backseat. We have been shaken by this and we are all trying now to do our best to move on and support each other.

Now, out of the nowhere, a new joint sponsor appeared as an option so we sent his paperwork yesterday. I couldn't believe how easy it was to get his papers, compared to our former joint sponsor, which meant an inch and a half of documents. It was a nice surprise and I am relieved that I won't have to bother my father in law for extra paperwork in this time of grieving.

I have a job interview on Thursday and it sounds like the perfect fit for me. I still haven't gotten my work permit, but the second infopass lady told me that it shouldn't be delayed by the RFIE on my AOS (as if I could now believe what they tell me), so I'm hoping that they'll be wiling to wait for me a little longer.

I'm sorry for the venting/long post, but this past week has been a terrible rollercoaster and I guess I needed some out.

We have been shaken by this and we are all trying now to do our best to move on and support each other.

i really think it depends on the CIS Local Office. I did not receive any RFE but still no GC I'm on my 68th day now. I fall to San Diego, CA ( the slowest CIS office there is). I have seen December 2015 filer on San Diego and no GC yet.. I am just hoping that I will be getting my EAD soon. Well, Goodluck to us!

Hello Fellow Visajourney members,

Today we decided to call the USCIS customer service to get the status update on or cases. Since we have never been able to access our receipt numbers, the Tier 1 agent was also not able to verify / check the case status and we were transferred to Tier 2. The Tier 2 agents were busy so we were given the option to arrange a call back by the automated system and performed the various steps as instructed to schedule a call back on our direct number.

We were informed about the expected wait time of 63 minutes but it usually runs longer than whats specified, so we haven't received the call back as yet.

I am not sure if the Tier 2 agents call after 6pm, so i am hoping to get some insight on that from our fellow visa journey members.

Will keep you guys updated with the progress.

Kind regards,

ConiMoni
