Well, I didn't think they would send me my EAD before my interview, but I got a new update today: "My new card is being produced." We'll see if it arrives before the AOS interview!

I did a change of address last week and it seems to have triggered all this movement on my application. Weird. But I'm not complaining!!

That's great! Congrats!

How did you do the change of address? Online?

Yes, I submitted it online on June 18 and it was assigned to an officer on June 21. I'm currently waiting to get confirmation letters of the change at my new address! Luckily I still have access to the old mailbox for a few more weeks.

I see the majority of us waiting for our EAD's are in the same boat, still waiting... Has anyone heard of an explanation why EAD processing times have significantly slowed down over the last few weeks? VJ time progression charts show they are still working around the 1st of April which has been the case for the last few weeks.

At one point it jumped to the 6th of April but only to go back to the first. If you look at the timeline it shows people with notification dates of around the end of April now getting notification. Just curious to know if anyone has heard of anything on these. The people that do seem to be getting their EAD's now are people beyond 75 days putting in service requests and calling.

AP shows processing April 13th which should be close to where EAD's would normally be I think. At least historically I have seen them much closer together on processing times.

I've been trying to call them and ask the reason why it's taking too long to get my EAD and they can't give me any answer other than "I just have to wait for my 75th day and create a service request" and then wait for another 15 days for a response which is non sense cause it would already be my 90th day. Idk if creating a service request would help but I would try my luck and just do it anyway, and I'll be calling them everyday to ask for an update. lol. I don't know what else to do.

Got my case approval notice today in mail dated June 20 2016 and although before my case status was returning an error with the advice to call

today status finally appeared

On June 24, 2016, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXXX, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by July 24, 2016, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you.

Nothing about EAD or AP yet

wondering if I need to wait for EAD to work or can I do it with physical GC when it will be delivered in mail and if it will be delivered before EAD

Oh, what a day, what a lovely day!

You'll probably never get your EAD/AP now. GC is good enough to work and travel.

I think it's more about the system itself and the people updating...

I totally agree with what you said about the 'updating' part as that is what it (read: USCIS online portal) is lacking the most. The system needs a revision and that is what I was trying to point at.

Got my EAD approved today after sending a request to expedite on June 13th and another service request on June 20th (after hitting the 75th day mark). Finally on June 24 I got a text message informing me a case update. Went to check in the system and got pleasantly surprised that my EAD was approved and a new card was ordered. After 86 days of waiting, it's about time.

Another pleasant surprise was that a few hours later, I got another update from USCIS saying that my 131 travel document was approved. Yay... Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. =)

Thank you! Good luck to you. Seems like your NOA date is about ten days after mine. Hope you hear from them soon!

How did you go about expediting your EAD?

I called the 1-800 number and asked to follow this criterion: "Nonprofit organization whose request is in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States;" I work at a university, so I don't know if my case really fits. But this request didn't really help speeding up my application, I think. I requested on June 13th, and my case was not assigned to anyone to process until 7 business days later. My service request after 75 days was processed much sooner than that.

The whole process is definitely a test of patience.
