Bokins, unless you receive an RFE in regards to this I wouldn't stress over it.

Might be earth you going over the firm and evidence afpgain to see if you can spot anything. Like ussues with an incomplete form... I putted into every field?

Have you evidence of petitioners income? Tax returns all there with W2's

Did you need a co sponsor? If so do you have their financial evidence as well as proof of them being a US citizen.

To be honest it could be any number if things as some people have rather complicated forms as they use assets and multiple co sponsors due to household size (especially when families are moving).

Not to scare you but there are examples of people getting RFE's based on not meeting poverty guidelines when they have produced evidence of earning $100k a year so go figure!

You might be thinking about something that just isn't going to happen to you.

Hello,

I'm planning to do the same. Could you share how did you request the EAD?

Thanks,

Greice

Expediting usually requires you to call in and request to expedite a case (some get the help of a congressmsn too).

You will then be given a reference number followed up by a letter requesting the evidence that supports your reason of financial hardship to you and or your current employer (if you are employed).

They give you a fax number to send the info into. Can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks if you go by other examples here but it all depends as usual on individual circumstances and who's processing your case at the other end!

They most likely get quite a few requests for EAD expeditions so don't expect them to consider your case to be anymore special than all the others who apply I'm afraid. It may or may not work.

Hey, can I ask you what did they ask you about your I-864? I'm worried I might have some problems with it.

Thanks!

Like gpiper says it could be anything...cases are different but as far as some of the cases I have read and through my personal experience just make sure all the financial documents you have send them....

In my case particular i hadn't filed my taxes when I send the package so instead of sending the tax form I decided to send W2 for my wife and all my W9 for the jobs I have been working in since the last year.. Well that didnt help....my wife does lashes for living so she doesn't per say have an offer letter so I didn't really send much.

ckibs had a similar problem like mine, to be on the safer side he sent the entire application.

I kind of knew where they I had a problem so just sent the necessary documents with copy of all the documents I sent earlier with the I864.

You would be in a better position to figure the RFE out when you get one.

There are people who have shown enough funds to feed a family of 10 but still get asked to show more funds to be over the poverty lines...SMH...no pattern for this..

Hi there,

So i got an RFIE on May, 23. They are asking for my birth certificate, that I've already submitted in my I-485 package. So I was really puzzled when I saw the RFIE. 1st call to USCIS, the woman sent me to the field office for Infopass. Appointment set for this morning, the agent didn't helped much and basically sent me back to square 0. After several other calls to USCIS, I finally got someone nice who transferred me to a Tier 2.

Tier 2 has been very helpful and explained that I should just resubmit the birth certificate. I also asked about the EAD, since I thought the RFIE would slow down the process (and was hoping to start an expedite request). But he told me and repeated it several time very slowly to make it crystal clear that I-765 EAD application is a separate process and so the RFIE does not impact it. So EAD application is still moving forward smoothly. \o/

Hey Guys,

I have been following this thread for some time now and I think its been a wonderful opportunity to connect and find out how others are managing the overall immigration experience. I submitted my adjustment of status pack along with EAD application on 28th March, it was received on 11th April, had my biometrics scheduled for 12th May but did a walk in on 5th May, case was ready to be scheduled for an interview on 11th May and just got my EAD expedite approved on 1st June with an approval notice sent in the mail.

Does anyone know whether the card production issues are still ongoing for EAD's or whether they are back to mailing out new cards within a week after approval? I had an unhelpful immigration officer at my last infopass appointment.

Cheers, Gus45

Hey! Fellow ATL filers here and we are experiencing the SAME thing! Applied on March 25th. Hardcopy NOA's for all 4 cases on April 11th. Biometrics on May 12th and since then absolutely NOTHING! Case statuses have not updated since April 18th and no RFE's. Glad to know we are not stuck in limbo alone but as you know that doesn't make it any easier. We had originally said we were gonna call for a Tier 2 on June 13th (our 75 day point) but based on your similar experiences we are gonna call on Monday and see if we can get some insight.

I definitely recommend trying to get transferred to a tier 2 - my case is still stuck on fingerprint fee received yet the tier 2 a few weeks back told me my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. They also implied that not hearing anything after two weeks from your biometrics appointment means no RFE at all. The online case status site is not accurate in many cases.
