04/04/2016 - received at USCIS Chicago
04/19/2016 - money order cashed
04/22/2016 - hard copy NOA received by mail

04/28/2016- received Biometrics Appointment Latter

05/12/2016- Biometrics 8:00 am Atlanta

07/05/2016- Approval notice Case type I485

07/09/2016- Received letter by mail

07/11/2016- Received green card by mail ( my green card in hand, so so so happy)

Just received my Green Card today We didn't get called into an interview! My card is valid for 10 year though.... That has to be a mistake, right?

I see most people that got a RFE usually get it in the mail within a week AFTER there biometrics appointment... The fact you've gone almost 2weeks and no RFE in the mail is a good thing... I think you may of been pushed onto the next step of "awaiting interview"... If next week comes and you still haven't got anything I think it's safe to say you're not getting a RFE... I know it's easier said than done when you can't view it online

Thanks for the encouragement. (F) I'm almost certain we are progressing well but like you said the unknown makes it a little nerve-racking. Of course I'm back to doing that crazy lady at the mailbox thing..... :clock::jest:

Hi vj's family !

It's been couple week since my fiancé is here in US. We got married last week and now I am just wandering how to start the AOS process. Would u please kind enough to list me the exact things I need to send to avoid any RFE's please .I also hear about filling I-94 form ? What this form exactly is and do K1 visa ,like we are married now and do I have to fill it for my husband ?

What list of things needed to prove our relationship since we are married?

Any help regarding adjusting of status would be appreciated as we are starting the process very soon

My case is also finally updated, ready to be scheduled for interview! My receipt numbers weren't recognized until now.

Hi, we have almost the same timeline and I'm from SFO too. ?

I've been having problems with the online updates too. Well, still can't check my status online till now so I really can't check on the progress of my case. I had my bio appt last May 13 and haven't received any letters in the mail. So, now I don't know what I'm waiting for.

May 13, 2016 – Biometric Schedule (Day 30)

May 30, 2016 – Updated I-485 to “Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for Interview” (Day 47)

June 29, 2016 - Submitted Service Request (Day 76)

July 13, 2016 - EAD & AP approved (Day 89)

Shared finances like shared utility bills or bank accounts, last few months of bank statement to show its a regularly used bank account both your names are on

Proof of relationship like a lease from renting a house or apartment... pictures of you together since entering the country like wedding or at social events...

Proof of income... Last few pay stubs, letter from employer, latest tax return (I sent previous 3 years)

April 8th: AOS sent

Our case is also ready to be scheduled for an interview ? ✌️

03/15/16. Sent out I-130 and AOS package but instead of filing it concurrently, I misunderstood and filed it separately.

03/23/16. Phoenix lockbox transferred our case (I-130 only) to Nebraska, cashed check, received NOA via text/email.

03/28/16. Received NOA1 I-130 hard copy by USPS

04/08/16. Received the package that we sent to Chicago. Case rejected due to improper filing? We sent it back to Chicago together with I-130 NOA 1 that we received last week (also RFE just in case too) sameday.

04/11/16. Package I-485, I-765 arrived at Chicago lockbox the second time.

04/19/16. Received NOA1 for I-485&I-765 via Text&email with new case number. They also cashed the check today.

05/02/16. Received Biometric letter, scheduled on May 9

05/09/16. Biometric completed

05/25/16. I-485 Case updated online, case is ready to be scheduled

06/29/16. I-130 Case updated online, case was transferred..

06/30/16. Submit USCIS E-request to update/expedite I-765

07/11/16. Received EAD By mail

09/09/16. Interview date is scheduled on Oct 14

10/14/16. Approved, status changed to New card is in production

10/15/16. Status online for I-130 & I-485 updated to Case was approved

10/20/16. Status online for I-485 updated to Card was picked up by USPS with tracking number.

10/21/16. Received NOA2 for I-130 & I-485

10/22/16. Received the card from USPS ?

It's been unnerving that the receipt numbers were not working until now. Today, my EAD case also got to "new card being produced". I did a walk-in bio appointment on the 3rd of may. I did also put in an expedite request, not sure if that played any role at all. Your progress should be just around the corner :)

How did you put in an expedite request? Was that from the initial filling of it?

I called them and asked for expedite, saying I have a job offer and might face financial hardship if I cant accept on time. They emailed me asking for copy of job offer. I sent them that. I'm not sure if that went through in the end though, they said nothing about my expedite request.

Does doing a walk-in expedite this process or is it just a matter of convenience?

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED :thumbs: (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding! :thumbs:

Makes sence I seen on the website they only expedite certain situations and financial hardship was 1 of the reasons.. Grats anyway on it being in production
