NVC Follow up Question....signature "not original"

I received a request for clarification from the NVC.

Its telling me that a signature on my affidavit of support needs to be signed. It was signed.

I called customer service and they said it must have not looked original (it is, I did not send the photocopy) to whoever reviewed it.

Has anyone ran into this? Can I call, ask to speak to a manager and maybe get them to ok it?

I would need to refill out my AOS and submit the form again, so that could be an additional month before its approved.

If you have a supervisor look at it, it will probably take just as long as if you mailed a new AOS.

We received an RFE for one of our AOS documents for the same reason - claiming an original signature was a copy. My recommendation is to sign all forms in blue ink.

I've heard of lots of people in the same boat as you. If you get the wrong person at NVC, they might think that a black signature is a copy. Use blue ink and re-send with the checklist cover.

oh man that sucks! it's a chance you take with the blue ink though because someone got checklist for using blue ink. Towards the top of the first page of the I-864 form it says to "Type or Print in Black ink".

I hope they don't checklist you again later for using blue ink.

Same story, re-signed AOS using a blue sharpie on every single page....They got it.. sine Feb 28... lets see what else they need.... SMH .

FOLLOW UP:

Sent it to NVC filled out in black ink but the signature was signed in blue ink and it was approved.

Got the case closed notification.
