I was going to say surely they should have gotten to your cards first?? That's unfair. I mean I am happy mine will come out soonish, but I don't think thats fair at all for all of the other filers. They should have gone about their error by getting to all the ones who got back-logged BEFORE even getting to anyone else.

We called uscis again this morning asking the progress of the service request the tier 2 officer made for our EAD reproduction. Alas, we learned nothing has been done yet, since it hasn't been assigned to another officer of another department who would do the request.

Why isn't it automatic to REDO a messed up card?

So if a card was defective, that's it? sorry, unless you pester us with your calls daily we won't do anything about it. What about those applicants who aren't here in visajourney, they are just clueless of what's goin' on, waiting for nothing, i suppose.

Oh, and we can't even do infopass. No availability in our field office currently.

Ok enough of the rants haha...

Zero point in mentioning this to your state rep or congressman. USCIS really are a law unto themselves. The issue you have when institutions become untouchable is they become lax in both their judgement and processes.

Any other walk of life you could have something done about it but all you will get back is they are securing the nations borders, it takes as long as it takes, GC's are a privekage not a right blah blah...

All true to some extent but when you see the inept handling of cases which are clearly nothing to do with national security such as the screw up with the card producing machine as these are already "approved"! applications it just beggars belief.

Standard wait 30,60,90 days as a response. Nice work if you can get it right... You dont have to get to anything for a coulple of months at a time

Well I WAS excited when I got my EAD approved as I was thinking the card would come in the mail shortly after that... However it seems everyone is having to wait up to an additional 60 days? Has anyone received their EAD card within a week or two of the approval notice?

Hi,

I got my EAD card came in the mailbox just a few days after showed that i765 was approved and took 2 days for the usps to be send

Hi! Congrats on the approval! When did you do biometrics?

Apr 22. Got RFIE on 864 (employer letters, taxes, paystubs) May 8 dated May 2, replied May 11, arrived at NBC May 12.

I believe that the reason 765 got approved now was the expedite - OPT employer sent letter about how much harm it would cause to business, clients, and of course me if I couldn't keep working. Lesson is that if you have good faith basis for expedite, don't be scared to try it, and business-related expedites get more traction than personal - I tried expediting AP so I could visit family with wife for first time since we eloped, but got nowhere either with service requests or local office. Had to cancel air ticket worth hundreds.

Fingers crossed they print it quickly, since work needs me to have the card in hand in less than 2 weeks.
