Yeah, just our luck :(

I hope things will go fast after we send the RFE back in. I could need a damn approval before I start shooting people!!!

It's just so frustrating and sad!

I'll really try to forget this day, because it's just not worth it to be remembered :crying:

Please keep us in the loop on the specifics behind the RFE ... my friends got one for not providing a Circumstances of Meeting letter and not having dates on the proof of meeting photos. They say it stalled their process by about 3 months (CA Service Center).

3 months!? Scary! I didn't attach a circumstances of meeting letter... I just wrote a few sentences in the box where it said to. Should I have elaborated more? I said "I first met Ombeni while I was studying abroad in Tanzania in April 2006. He was a server at a restaurant where I was eating. I then returned to Tanzania from 12/06 to 03/07 to visit him."

We didn't attach a circumstances of meeting letter either. :/

You're absolutely right, Ivelina. It's not too big of a deal. It's only that after waiting for so long... and finally getting touched, you begin to get your hopes up. Just as you think you're finally at the first resting place on your way to the peak of the mountain., you realize that you have more climbing to do. A week or so ago, I said that I'd at the very least like an RFE just to know that we're not forgotten... and to be honest, I'd still prefer the RFE to nothing at all. It's just... we miss each other very much.

I just today sent back our RFE and it had to do with my Birth Certificate. The certificate has to have your parents names on it so the short one doesn't work. Hang in there. We are beside ourselves trying to just get through the wait.

Hang in there guys, all will work out. I wish you luck and pray its approved soon.

BTW, I was touched twice last week and have roughly the same timeline as you guys. I was not touched today nor have I recieved an email stating approval or RFE.

Did you get your RFE notice through email or did you have to call to find out?

If I get no more touches this week, should I call to see what is up? I seen before that sometimes they don't always send emails. What are your thoughts?

Thanks and good luck!

PS: i would like a real brot with mustard and ein beer bitte!

These RFE's are so subjective at times. I did not put dates on the back of my pics, (didn't think about that), but that didn't hurt us. It all depends on who is reviewing the case. Diana hang in there. From what I have seen on here, it appears that once the RFE is returned, approval comes within a few days.

Hey guys,

I am sorry I know that has been asked many times I guess, but I tried to find out how long it usually takes to get approved after a RFE?!!? And I couldn't find anything so far!

Sure the lady on the phone said: within 30 days, but come onnnnnnnnnn......that's tooo damn long!!!!

Any experiences? I heard that usualy the approval comes close after the RFE is sent back in?!

I really need something to cheer up, because I am pi**ed and sad as hell!!!! :crying: :crying: :crying:

Diana

Breathe...I know you want to kill the neighbors cat right about now but you arent even at 90 days yet and for CSC thats good...for someone with an RFE thats awesome. Sorry to hear you had one..hope its nothing too outrageous. Keep your head up..you'll get that NOA2 and will be skatin' along before you know it.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about the RFE Diana and John... :( This is not the post that I've been expecting to read when I got here at work... darn it! But on the lighter side, I've seen others received RFE but right after they sent back what CSC asked for, they got approved 2-3 days. Hang in there you guys! We'll still be here for you and we'll keep our fingers crossed that it's not something hard to produce. Cheer up sister! We'll be here rooting and pulling for you!

Keep thinking good thoughts. RFE's aren't always a bad thing. It means that someone has actually opened your case (rather than it sitting at the bottom of the pile) and could not make a decision based on the information you provided. An approval is on it's way, quickly send the information that they request and you should be fine. I have seen many cases where NOA2's were recieved within days of sending back the RFE.

Thanks to ya'll to try to cheer us up. Today is another day and I accepted the fact, that we have a RFE!

I hope too, that we will get approved right after they receive the papers they asked for (which we don't know yet).

@Froggie I don't know, if we received an e-mail?! On the USCIS page, we saw that our case was updated and that they sent the RFE out. I guess we will have it by friday. Our guessing is the birthcertificate too, since we just sent the short version in. So we are prepared for that to send the stuff right back, to not cause any more delays!!!

So if you were to get a RFE, you should check on your case status, that's where you'll find it.

As my fiance already stated, we just miss each other sooooooooooooo effin much, that every delay is a slap in the face and we already waited soo long. Sure we are in the time frame, that's what I keep telling my baby. But when you see other people passing by, especially the Vermont people (no offense) who filed a way after us. It just gets frustrating!!!

Well....we will see, how fast we'll get approved! I just hope it will be soon, because I start getting depressed!!!

Diana
