Hi,

I just checked my nvc case status and it says i have to follow the six steps as per the link. Do I need to do it? Or it is only apply to those who apply for I-130 (CR1)? See attachment:

I did not even read it, and now I'm transferred to embassy. The day after embassy received my i-129 papers I got mail from NVC stating

The NVC received your fiance(e)'s approved i-129f petition from USC and USCIS. The NVC now will forward the petition to the US Embassy or Consulate in [city]. Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The US Embassy or Consulate will contact your fiance(e) when they are ready to process his or her petition

Nope. Doesn't apply to K-1, NVC does not schedule the interview for the K-1 visa, and you do not provide documents/fees to NVC...

You are correct this does not apply to the I-129f filers

Hmmm... I contacted a friend that went through this process and he said as soon as the NVC sends off the packet start contacting the embassy..

I filled out the DS160 application, got her to sign it using team viewer and then then started calling and emailing. I didn't use the email they said you needed to use at traveldocs or whatever I contacted them directly at the embassy consular section email ( even though they said they wouldn't respond to visa questions there) they responded to me ( must have been the offer of pizza ).

They answered my questions, sent me and email saying they had an electronic notice but needed the actual physical packet to set the interview date ( I had asked for that) and then about 4 days later responded that it had been approved (I129F) and that the interview date was March 25th (55 days away )

We already scheduled the medical exam prior to getting the interview date for the 18th of February and the doctor said that was fine as long as we brought the appointment letter or email..

Thanks to all who answered my question. It is now clarrified to me I appreciate your all feedbacks and advises

I am not planning to leave my country until June 2016 so I will not contact the USEM here as the process might be quicker.

I wish there's a vj members here who can tell me about their interview at US EMBASSY BAHRAIN as well as the medical procedures but it seems not much people from bahrain who are in VJ. But as soon as i successfully get my K1 visa I will write a blog here so I cam help the future K1 visa applicants who lives in Bahrain.
