Comments : They were fine with not having original letter of intent, asked few questions as it was easy to see a bonafide relationship with three visits over the last year. The Nepali staff was somewhat curt and when we got there with our paperwork they told us that our interview had actually been scheduled for February 23rd and why weren't we there..? We had the email with March 25th specified and then another where they said they couldn't do it any faster than March 25th..;) American interviewer was very nice and when they asked if she wanted the interview in Nepali or English she said English as she thought the interview would be shorter... She was right ;) Now getting the visa was a nightmare with the Nepali staff obstructing everything and we had to get a US Senator involved to clear things up and speed her on her way. I would rate this consulate process due to the local Nepali workers an "F"

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
