Well good news, my fiance interviewed and was approved on Monday! We had a scare the night before because she had forgotten the original police certificate back in her home city, but luckily they let her bring it in later that afternoon and all was well. Officer only asked her three questions (how/when we met, say 3 things about your fiances personality, how many times has your fiance visited Honduras). Now we just wait for the visa to be issued and she should come over sometime in August.

Congrats! :)

Hello Feb filers and congrats on your journey to be with your loved one. I was hoping someone here could answer a question for those of us following in your footsteps...?

I was wondering how long it took for you to get the letter from the NVC after they forwarded your case? I am just trying to get a guesstimate because there's a few of us that need the nvc letter before we can move forward in our cases. I understand we can call and get our case number and what not but I need the actual hard copy. Thnx for your help!

We don't get any letter from the NVC, they just send it straight to the embassy. The only info we get from them is by calling them. Not sure if it differs from country to country.

Oh. Ok. Thnx! I was under the impression that we get a letter from NVC with our case number and stating it was sent to the embassy. Thats the letter Hong Kong police are asking for. We tried with NOA2 letter and was denied. Guess I will tell her try again with NOA2. Lol

People do get a letter from NVC that is correct. Not everbody receive it though.

We (petitioner) got the letter about a week after if I remember correctly.

Yanisa was approved at the interview this morning. Her actual interview only lasted 2 minutes. They asked her 3 questions.

Where did you meet?

Who is this person? (showing a pic of me.)

Where does he live?

I happened to be in Bangkok at the same time her interview was scheduled, waiting across the street at a Starbucks nearby.

We also met another nice couple, he's from Hawaii also. She was also approved.

Congratulations! That was an easy interview!

We just got my fiancee interview date (Aug 1st) today.
