One other question, for interview, did any of you bring i129f packet and/or more recent evidence for trips and correspondence since application? or do you only need to bring the requested forms?

Got my K1 visa in hand! Finally.

Now for the driver's license thing, use an international driver's license if you don't have one yet. I got my international driver's license from Belgium and then one from Belgium. So basically I have two. You may have something similar depending where you are from. But of course it's advisable to get your driver's license in the U.S. asap to avoid discussions with the cops.

The rules for DL is so different from state to state. Some can drive a week on there international DL some 30 days and so on. Some can get the state DL fast and others have to wait for their EAD. So it really depends on where people are located:)

So somebody a couple thread pages back or so said that people often buy tickets when CEAC status changes to issued. How far out do you recommend purchasing ticket? How long does it usually take visa to arrive?

Just looking ahead. Fiancee is in medical exam today, interview on the 18th. :)

I did not book until I had visas in hand and that is the general advise. There could be mistakes on the delivery or on the visa itself.

It's been more than 3 weeks (almost 4 in a few days) since USCIS mailed NVC my NOA2 and NVC has told me they have not received my case. Should I be worried? :S

Are you sure USCIS sent it? When you call them about it they tell you that you have to give them 6 weeks to send it, and that it can take up to 90 days for NVC to receive it. It's such BS. <_<

Well, the NOA2 Itself states that they have sent it to the NVC and that all actions by then has been done from here. I know it's all protocol but I'd love to take their word for it. OMG 90 days? :( I actually thought everything from here will be faster. So sad. I hope I get the visa at hand before November! *fingers crossed*

NVC is fast, but USCIS is slower than slow these days. Trust me, it's still stuck at USCIS, there's no other part of this process that is slower than that one..

Thanks for your reply. Of all cases they had to pick ours to be one of the slowest, longest wait with multiple problems. =\

I know, right? You'd think they'd speed up the process a bit for us now because of all the we've already been through. :D

We haven't called NVC yet so we don't know if ours is going fast or not though, we'll start calling next week or so. Twice a week should be enough, it's not like we have to have the case number that badly. But it'd give peace of mind to know where the petition is at, I've had enough of "petition might be lost" thoughts now. :P
