It's been 4 weeks for us and still no NVC case number.. anyone else experiencing the same?

I'm from the March filers forum and I heard you are still waiting as well. My noa2 date is June the 1st and nothing for me from the nvc either.

Did you folks call the NVC after 21 days? (NOA2 approval + 21 days)

Georgia posted the number to use in an earlier post, here it is:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/584322-i-129f-february-2016-filers/page-218#entry8188318

I got my NVC number by phone last week by calling on day 21 after NOA2 approval, but I still haven't gotten any physical mail. The status is now "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

The guy on the phone was very nice, even told me to take my invoice ID number, which he said I would need as well.

BTW, is that true about the NVC setting an interview date? I thought we had to do a bunch of things first, packet3, readiness form, medical, pay fee, etc?

I guess I'll find out if I ever get the physical letter from the NVC :)

Hello all.....I just read this on the NVC site.....what are these fee amounts for K-1?...are these separate from the application fee that should be paid in my fiancé's country (Nigeria)

After you choose your agent, you need to pay your processing fees. There are two processing fees:

  • Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee
  • Affidavit of Support Fee

You should pay these fees online at the Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center. You will need a bank routing number and a checking or savings account number from a U.S. bank. The image below shows the routing number, account number, and check number on a personal check. The order of these numbers may differ on your check and may include some special symbols different from those shown. You can contact your financial institution for specific details.

check2.gif

You will also need your NVC Case Number and Invoice ID Number (located on the NVC Welcome Letter you received from us). Once you obtain this information, log into the Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center and pay your fees. Please note you cannot pay these two fees simultaneously; the online system will ask you to pay them one at a time.

After submitting your payment online, please allow five days for NVC to process your fee payments before continuing to the next step. You will not be able to access your DS-260 Application for an Immigrant Visa until NVC has processed your payments.

This has nothing to do with k1 visas. Don't worry!

Yes, same here..

I'm just so confused about it. It doesn't make sense that they just don't have it yet the USCIS doesn't either (I called and asked) so I'm a little lost right now. I dont get how people with noa2 of 7th of June have their case number from the nvc but here we are, with nothing.

Yes, you are correct, it doesn't makes sense but that's how the system works. So there is no need to panic... yet. They say it could take 4-6 weeks after NOA2 so we got to be patient. We'll get our case number, is just a matter of time.
