Well, that's cool. At least he's showing you, somehow, that he's concerned when you raise an issue like this.

Would the police tow the car if it had 3 flat tires?

Maybe? Hahaha! I'll let this rest for a little while (and just call the police again) because some dude is getting on my nerves. :)

eh - check the stickers on the car - see if any university stickers from fall 2015 semester - maybe someone got kicked out of school ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You can be an advocate for this guy but I am not going to let you call me an ignorant because I am scared. If you don't have anything to say that will help just stop posting. Thanks.

Ignorance does not mean stupid. Ignorance means not knowing. Not knowing can be cured if you talked to the person and got some information. You don't know this person's situation, so you are ignorant of his/her situation.

Do i really need to know his situation and life story just so you cannot call me ignorant? As i've said it is rude to call anyone ignorant (even you didnt mean stupid). You used it in a very derogatory way because if you didn't, you could have just said that me being scared is INCORRECT. For me, people who call other people IGNORANT just wanted to come off as more intelligent or just a better person than others especially on forums like this. It is a very rude and snobby thing to say especially to a person who's just sacred for her safety.

And as for me talking to him, i would definitely listen to my husband and just not do it. Lol i am already too scared of him just being parked there and looking around our neighborhood let alone me talking to him.

I am just waiting for the 72 hour mark (which is going to be tom around this time), and call the police AGAIN.

Lol. Cookies will not cure my ignorance because i still did not talk to him to know his situation. I should just invite him to our home and let him stay with us forever. Maybe then some person wont think he is a better catholic than me and wont call me ignorant. :)

Nah, cookies isn't that meaningful. Cookies is cookies.

Any news during the prior 20 hours?

I keep thinking - what would I do ? At a minimum, I'd take a bottle of white shoe polish with the sponge applicator tip, write on the back window 'Abandoned Car, 17:35, 01 FEB 2016' and see what happens.

Took photos of the car, no stickers, nothing. Everything is all covered up couldnt see anything inside. And then before the 72 hr mark happened he moved the car just a couple of houses down so as not to have any parking violation. I am scared and I think my husband is also very concerned now, we couldn't sleep last night thinking about our safety, heard a lot of noises like banging on fences and doors (were not sure if its our house or the neighbor's) that never happened before that my husband had to check it out at 2am. I think he only got about 30 mins of sleep :(

Well since it sounds like they're not even in the car the whole time I doubt they are scouting the neighborhood checking your routines. Sounds more like someone hit a rough patch in life and is now living there. Sounds like they're just homeless. Having them towed is just going to take the only roof over their head they have.

Maybe, maybe not. But you couldn't really tell as the inside of the car is all covered up. What made me scared and started my concern about it was when someone parked behind it and the driver made a girl grab something from it. And while my FIL and I was outside seeing this the driver sneered at my FIL. So yeah, that is a little shifty to me...

When you called the cops where you out there with the cops or did you keep yourself inside? Maybe they're looking at you that way because your first reaction was to call the cops than to walk up there and talk to them?
