I am really regretting not doing EP but my attorney said it was best to mail it in. Ugh 72 days from original scan date and 24 from checklist scan date D;

Yeah, me too. There was a time when EP was taking longer, but that isn't the case now apparently.

Hey did NVC get your case yet? Just checking on you.

Nope! I'm 19 days in since petition approved and still waiting on NVC to say they received it. I called Friday afternoon and still nothing. I'll call them again tonight. Hopefully, this time they will say they have it. With my luck, it will be another 3 weeks for them to assign a case number and IIN for me. on the positive side.....at least it's not NSC!

Well my wife rang NVC just now (she's been calling everyday for the past week). And to our surprise, they had the case number. I just logged in and the ds-261 and aos invoice were already available too. So we did both and just waiting for the IV invoice to be up now.

Things are moving along nicely. God I can't wait until all this is over, exciting times.

Good luck everyone.

I know how you feel mate.... i cant wait for us to equally get our Case# & IIN. Cant wait to Live England (cold weather) and be with my Wife in Texas (Sunny weather). Hopefully NVC goes a lot quicker

I'm hoping to get a CC by end of this month and an interview in Ho Chi Minh City by May. Since that is after the tax filing deadline, will my wife need to bring updated tax information for myself and/or the joint sponsors?

May I ask what triggered your checklist?

Yes no problem. On I-864 my joint sponsor and I both got confused, where it says 'list household members income you are using...' she put in her husband since they file jointly on there taxes. However, we did not file an i-864a - because the joint sponsor alone makes more than enough. So we had to send in an I-864a for my joint sponsors husband.

I should've called NVC first before responding to you so quickly. I just called NVC and the nice lady, Amy, confirmed they received my petition today. She also mentioned it can take up to 42 days for them to enter my file into the system. That's not going to stop me from calling them next week to see if they have a case number and IIN for me yet. :no::innocent:

I wasn't expecting the case number either. On Friday, The guy told us to call back in two weeks. We ignored him, called today and they had the number. Really you need to persist with NVC rather than wait for them.

Nice to see another English guy moving to Texas. We are off to Houston once it comes through. Good luck mate, looking forward to see how you get on.

Now you can be happy that today they did receive your case.....not much longer now for case number!!
