Passport time

My interview was on dec 23rd 2015 and I had my interview successful. They kept the passport and said it will come in 7 to 10 days.i booked my ticket for 11 Jan bt my passport hasn't come.when I tracked the passport online it says that my status hasn't been updated. What should I do? Really frustrated

I didn't know that it would be this worst.if my passport hasn't received until for 15 days what should I do.i called the embassy in kathmandu and they say that I can do nothing then to wait.what should I do now? Please help me.is it due to holidays between or some other reasons may also be there?

There is nothing you can do except wait to get your passport back, and be ready in case you need to change your flight

the golden rule is DO NOT ever book tickets without having the visa in hand

The embassy probably isn't going to be all that helpful and is likely not going to be sympathetic to your situation of having purchased a ticket in advance. I would work the airline and see what change options you have. If you can get by with something like a $200 change fee, consider yourself fortunate.

Can you reschedule or cancel your booking? If you are able, do so until your visa is in hand.

You can reach out to the embassy by email and ask for updates, there's not much that you can do at this point.

You're approved but you still need to wait for them to issue the visa itself hopefully it's not gonna be long.

This why both people on VJ and the embassy says Do not book your ticket until you have your visa in your hand. Nothing you can do but wait and there's no point on contacting the embassy. You should consider re-scheduling your trip. They can't promise it will come in that time frame, only say it "should" come in that amount of days.
