K1 visa Point of entry question

My fiancée should be coming to the US later this year(K-1 visa just herself she has no dependents children etc if that helps) what we are planning on doing is having her fly from the Philippines by herself as we are trying to save money and not have to buy a round trip ticket for me. I believe her POE with will be ORD, I live in Louisiana and this is her end destination. I want to fly on a domestic flight to ORD to surprise her plus I want to be there if she has any issues, is it possible for me to go through immigration/customs etc with her even though I am not flying into the country on an international flight. Any experience or information on this would be much appreciated.

No. Only international arrivals will clear customs and immigration. For security reasons, this part of the airport is off-limits to domestic passengers. You can join her on the onward flight but the first place you would be able to see her would be airside departures. There's every chance you will be arriving from Louisiana at a different terminal than her flight from the Philippines anyway.

I agree with JFH. You will not be able to get to immigration from a domestic flight. My advice is to research O'Hare and find out which terminal she will be arriving at and plan to meet her where the international passengers come out. That would certainly be a nice surprise, and also could be helpful to have you there to make sure she can find her next flight.

Good Luck!

Nope. You will not be allowed in that area, you can wait for her outside the customs check point.
