Because they are slower at processing petitions. Are you sure you are being processed at TSC? Your timelime shows the Lewisville TX lockbox which is not correct. Have you received NOA1 that tells you which processing center is handling your petition?

Why does it take so long to process the k1 petition at the USCIS Texas office?

Cuz they are slower with less people from what I hear and if it goes super slow I heard they might send it to the California office if they take really long

All the petitions as of late have been being routed to the CSC. Was your case actually routed from the Dallas Lockbox to the TSC? The Dallas Lockbox that all petitions are mailed to is not the TSC. It is just an intake facility.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to K-1 Case Filing and Progress Reports -topic is filing/case status ~

You will be very happy to know your case is NOT in Texas it is CSC.

Update your timeline to see the projected approval date.

What a relief that will be for you.

How do you know this???

Because, as stated, all petitions are being sent to the CSC as of late. Wait for your NOA1 receipt notice. It will tell you what service center your case is being processed at. I am fairly certain it will be California.

the first NOA1 is just a notice u receive from uscis stating that they have received youur package, if u included a form g1145, thats the e-notification, then they should send u a text message or an email based on which way of contact u provided to them.
