Two questions about the g325 form:

1) When my fiance mailed his signed g235a form to me, i noticed it was a different size paper than the usual 8.5 by 11. Looks like he printed it as a PDF on size A4 paper. Due to the longer length, the format and sizing of the form looks a bit off. Not sure if A4 sized paper is more common in other countries. Has anyone received an RFE for submitting a g325a form on a different size paper?

2) For boxes that do not apply, leave them blank or write N/A? I've heard mixed reviews about this. I even called USCIS and the lady on the phone said to write N/A and don't leave anything blank. While the g-325a instructions do not specify, the i-129F instructions clearly says "If the item does not apply to you, leave the space blank". CONFUSED!

Please help! THANKS!

Hi. I can't say about the first question but for the second one, that is correct.

For example: don't have an A number? Leave it blank.

Don't leave information blank that still applies to you even though the answer would be like "I don't have one, or never did that".

For example. Previous spouse or kids: put none. "None" is an answer. Leaving that kind of spot blank is not an answer.

Anyone out there, correct me if I'm misinformed please. But this is what I did and I haven't had my docs sent back to me for being improperly filled out. Hope this helps you!

Not sure about the paper size on the G-325 form, since it is their form. I think you'll be ok as long as its their form on the paper with all the proper info.

We sent our I-129f in 2014, but I did not leave questions that didn't apply blank. I put N/A.

I also got longer paper from her (letter of intent and g-325), nothing was "off". I actually thought it was better to have it in different size, USCIS will "know" I didn't print and singed it

I cleaned My Timeline. Hope nobody minds

Thanks! Does the length of the paper alter the appearance of the form itself for you? Also, has your petition been approved? Thx!

I had my fiance print out the document, sign it, and scan it back to me. I printed it here and it was regular sized paper. We did this with both the G-325A as well as the Intent to marry. Our petition was approved with no issues.

A4 is very commonly used outside North America (in fact, I do believe with the exception of the US, Canada & Mexico, most of the world uses A4 as the standard paper size) so that shouldn't be a problem (from personal experience with our CR1 process: no RFE for us for using A4 to print a G325A -- our I-130 was approved).

You follow the I-129F instructions. If an answer is N/A or None, then you leave it blank.

How To Fill Out Form I-129F
...
3. Answer all questions fully and accurately. If an item is not applicable or the answer is “none,” leave the space blank.

The G-325A has a few questions where it specifies to state None, if that is the answer. Follow the instructions for each separate form you are filling out.

Thanks! Did your size A4 form look distorted in any way? Slightly Smaller looking font?

Thanks. This is actually the 1st time hearing that we are allowed to have fiance sign and scan in g325a!! I thought we had to have a physical signature in ink! Has anyone else had positive experience using this method?

I had my fiance print out the document, sign it, and scan it back to me. I printed it here and it was regular sized paper. We did this with both the G-325A as well as the Intent to marry. Our petition was approved with no issues.

If the font looks smaller, don't worry--it won't be an issue. But, if you want to/have time/need it in the future: the smaller looking font is something you get when you try to print a letter-sized document on A4-sized paper and select the "Fit" option under Page Size and Handling (or similar sounding section) of the print dialogue in Adobe (when printing PDFs); selecting "Actual size" will retain the font size, etc. at the expense of page margins (i.e., the margins will be narrower since the text will fill up more page to maintain font size; if you pay attention at the small preview on the right while switching between options it will let you see the difference).
