There was a shooting at my daughter's high school this morning

Hi Everyone,

I'm writing asking for your thoughts and prayers. My daugher's hs just lifted their lockdown. I've been in verbal contact with her and she's fine. In fact, she didn't want to come home... her reaosn? She has bio lab :blink:

17 yr old female senior was shot 4 times by her 17 yr old ex-bf in the parking lot of the school. The girl was not in school but her mother drove her to the school and witnessed the shooting. The ex-bf then turned the gun on himself. He's dead, she's in serious but stable condition. The mother drove her car between the two once he dropped to the ground.... it's all so surreal....

That is just awful..... it sure makes you wonder what kind of stress these young people are going through these days?

I feel badly for the parents of the victim, as well as the parents of the shooter..... it's such a sad thing for both of them.

This seems to be happening more and more.... I wonder what the solution is?

Sorry you both have to go thru this, i cant imagine but do you notice (not in ref to her wanting to stay) the kids today are becoming numb to these situations. Before or in past if this happened most definately school would be ended for the day, and now classes resume?

OH MY GOD!THAT IS SCARY!!

Glad to know that your daughter is safe and ok..i will pray for you and your daughter Jen!

What's up with kids having a killer weapon anyway?do thier parents hide thier guns in a safety lock so the kids dont see it?( just wonder and ask myself? :blink: )
