Better yet, NEVER use any service that involves PHILPOST.

I say that knowing that the USPS is not the problem but the Phil Post it gets turned over to in Manila. That is where the problems arise from which are many. But for the life of me I do not know why people still use the USPS knowing that they turn it over to the corrupt and unreliable Phil Post. You might as well spend alittle extra and use DHL/Fedex.

i honestly dont think that someone from usps stole that BUT from post office, customs, public employees in the philippines, YES there is a higher chance they took the item

I have used the USPS every-time I have shipped something, and guess I am lucky nothing has gone missing. If you use DHL, I am guessing like Fedex, the person receving the items must pay import fees or taxes? I believe this happened when I shipped a bunch of items using FEDEX and the fee she paid to get the box was worth more than the contents of the box.
