No, we're using a lawyer who said that the NVC are running slow and to just wait. I've emailed her this morning to ask her to call and chase them as I'm getting concerned, especially as other people on this forum with a similar timeline to my application seem to be getting processed fairly quickly.

I use a lawyer too. Just like any other profession, they are trying to do the least amount of work for the most amount of money. I called NVC more times than I can remember. If you really want to know, don't wait for your lawyer, just call them! =)

Good morning or afternoon,Almost 7 months and still haven't got approved yet

Have you called USCIS and found out why?

See this is why I dislike lawyers sometimes. They don't try as hard as they should.lol

I strongly recommend calling, I believe typically after 5 months you can submit a case inquiry...

I just spoke to the NVC, the lady said that they have 6 weeks to check the documents, everywhere I have read says either 30 days or 2-4 weeks. I'm not sure if they're in a busy period. Oh well, at least we should hear back in the next week.

Once the NVC confirms the docs are okay (fingers crossed) does it then get sent to the embassy who set the interview date or does it stay at the NVC?

I just got my 3 N/A!!! My wife is going to call the NVC later and check if that's Case Complete. So that's 35 days from the NVC receiving our documents. Hopefully it doesn't take another full month to get an interview date.

Nice, congrats!! Hope you hear something soon!

RFE is different for everyone. I got for not sending the original divorce decree. They do not give out any information on the phone. You will have to wait until you get the letter in the mail. In the letter there is also a "front page" for when you're sending them what they request. Very important to send that with your RFE in return to your Service Center. For us it took 10 days from when they received the RFE until we were approved.
