How did you find out the sent it to NVC yesterday?

I wonder cause mine was approved last month on the 29th and I figured they sent it right around that time... Now I don't know cause I didn't get any notification saying they sent it out

I got an e-mail from the USCIS saying that on 3-22-16 our case had been sent to the Department of State for visa processing.

I have not gotten anything from the NVC itself. I suppose that is next as I've been told by someone else on there that I should be receiving a welcome letter. I also had the USCIS app on my phone and it showed the same update to our case.

Congratulations!!! I can't wait for the day I get that email =P I hope the rest of the process goes smoothly for you both as well - keep us posted!

My wife's petition was received Nov 16th and sent to the NSC. Checking the estimated times on a regular basis, and (if my calculations are correct), it should be approved by late May and everything else approved by the end of August. So long to keep going, but yay bureaucracy.

EDIT - I just saw from your original post that you were sent to the NSC as well. But on the estimate of times, as of 2/11 they were still processing August I-130's. Did yours get expedited?

No, ours was not expedited.

Regardless of all that I believe it has to do with the country of the beneficiary. I am not 100% sure but I believe they separate the cases by the country. Some countries take longer because they have more people asking for their relatives then others. Again I'm not sure how they work all of this but it would make sense.

I was thinking it has to do with the beneficiary's country as well but they don't give accurate information when you call uscis. There's only a few November filers left that haven't been touched me being one of them. It's frustrating. But I've seen this on the uscis app

Umm that's different from what I received.... I did get an email saying the case was approved.

when I received the approval letter it says on there that my case has already been sent to NVC, I never got an email saying they actually sent it ?

My first e-mail from USCIS came on 3-10-16 which said our case was approved on 3-9-16. I wasn't expecting this 2nd e-mail, but got it on 3-22-16 saying it had been sent to the Department of State. We'll see what happens next. :clock:

There's something I feel some of us are forgetting... USCIS has 4 centers and each of them has different amount of cases to work on.. Mine fortunately was sent to California that's the fastest right now, I think that's why mine was approved before some of you guys

We know. We're talking about Nebraska. There are cases from Nebraska getting approved that's why we're all going crazy. But it most likely has to do with the beneficiary's country. We'la just wait it out I guess. Not much more we can actually do.

Umm ok, well to be honest I think they sometimes randomly select cases hehe

Good luck everyone, I know it's hard to be patience but that's the only option ?

I think it's a bit of both... wish I could post a direct link, but if you search the timelines you can see that 19/40 NSC I-130's with Nov 2015 NOA1's have been approved. It seems a pretty even distribution across countries EXCEPT that the Philippines (which had the second highest number of people filing) were ALL completed in an average of 38 days between NOA1 and NOA2!! Canada has the highest number of filers with 0 approvals (which, of course, is where my wife is from!)

I tried to cut and paste the data table, but it doesn't format properly, so I added a screenshot for those who aren't sure and/or are too lazy to search for the data =P
