I have and my wife even talked to him on the phone. He was really quick though on asking for money and asked for card information, that's why I'm a little bit skeptical about him

so many people talk about her. apparently she is one of the best but also pretty expensive.

I talked to him and found him fine. I think he just gets a lot of consults and you can only help so many people freely before delving too deeply. I was a bit off put at first too but I am sure at a certain point of you were getting a lot of inquiries you'd have to draw a line and process to commit to the real clients you have so I didnt think too much of it. He had more affordable rates than many others.

I'll suggest a coupla things, maybe (maybe...) help you to decide whether you need an attorney or not.

a. read the VJ guides. map the steps out on paper and pencil. See if anything doesn't make sense to you.

b. Read the USCIS web portal about the forms. Map out the steps on paper and pencil. See if anything doesn't make sense to you.

c. Practice filling out the forms, at least 5 times. See if anything still doesn't make sense to you.

d. Have any red flags? Practice writing up attestation letters about each red flag.

Now, after doing (with major emphasis on DOING ) all of the above, if you do NOT understand the forms and the process and potential red flags for your petition,

then I'd suggest getting a good IMMIGRATION lawyer. You are concerned with time, I am concerned with your 'knowledge acquisition', as knowledge is power. You can have 'it' good, fast or cheap - pick 2.

I worked with him on my I 601 and I212 and he was very diligent, responded quickly to my emails (within a day) and his rates were much more affordable than other lawyers. We just sent our waiver so I wouldnt know about successful rates but we worked well with him.
