Fiance is between jobs

Hello,

I have my interview at the london embassy next week. I am curious to know how to go about my affadit of support.

My fiance has now left the job we had (working on cruise ships) and is starting his new job on November 3rd (4 days after my interview). His previous job was above the financial requirements and his new job is even better at around 4x the financial requirements. Shall i give my old affadit of support or shall i show new contract for new employer and new employment letter?

I can take his old pay stubs as he has been self employed aswell as full time employed to show he has more than enough.. We just dont have anyone close to us in the USA that would be able to co-sponsor so just want to be reassured that this job transition wont be a problem at interview!

I would take everything old and new and explain the situation.You will be face to face with a live person and London is pretty flexible with K1s. The decision is subjective. If the officer is convinced you will not become a public charge, he can approve what you bring. What you have described sounds convincing.

I would check with your fiance. They should have some type of formal offer letter that includes salary, start date, and some other information. This should back up the new employer information if you wrote it on the form.
