What is the U.S. Immigration's requirement with respect to K1 visa applicants traveling to a U.S. port of entry on a roundtrip airline ticket or a one-way airline ticket, does the U.S. immigration permit K1 visa holders to travel and enter a U.S. port of entry in United States with one-way ticket?

You are traveling to to get married and make a life in the usa so one way ticket or which ever is cheapest for you to obtain. If you get a 2 way ticket remember to cancel the reyurn half of the trip once in the US.

What purpose would a round trip be? You're coming to get married and live....

A round trip can some times be cheaper then a one way so some people buy them then cancel the return ticket.

Another option, if you have enough frequent flyer miles, is to get a one-way frequent flyer ticket. Those can sometimes be much cheaper than a paid ticket (assuming one values a frequent flyer mile at perhaps 2 cents). While there is often a direct relationship between cost of a trip in dollars and miles, sometimes there is not. It pays to check. I have found that United is often lower cost in miles than Delta, and easier to get a ticket. And yes, sometimes a round-trip is cheaper than a one-way. Makes no sense, but that's the way it is.

Thank for for updating your timeline. (My Assistant, then edit/add my timeline.)

come the cheasest way

i found a one way cheap one from morocco

but sometimes the round trip is best

and try several POE's close to where you want to go / i am 2 hours from several international airlports and the price varies / I check them all out

one time i even bought a ticket to JFK and separate one to morocco / saved a few hundred over what it would have been if i put in my city to casa

My fiancee traveled from the Philippines on a one way ticket and it was significantly cheaper then a round trip ticket. She does not need a round trip ticket.

Read that answer again as I believe you did not understand. The reply was that she could book a one way and immigration doesn't really care. But, he also stated she could buy a round trip ticket IF IT WAS CHEAPER than a ONE WAY but cancel the return portion. Yes, sometimes you can find a round trip ticket cheaper than a one way. But not always. What's the harm if she looks for BOTH? I see none.

Immigration has no requirement for either way of traveling, one way or two way ticket, doesn't matter.

What purpose would a round trip be? You're coming to get married and live....

I am quite aware that a k1 applicant is permitted to enter a U.S. Port of Entry with a 1-way airline ticket. As strict as U.S. Immigration laws are I am just being proactive so that I can make sure me and my fiance will have a smooth journey down the road without any obstacles. Thanks for you response "anyway".

So then why ask? No need to be rude to me. I asked what reasoning would it be to be requipped to buy round trip.

I must have just misunderstood your question. I thought you were wondering if you have to buy round trip, but seems life you were wondering if it matters at all which you get....which like everyone already said...nope.

I dont know what the quotes on anyways meant. I would get the sarcasm if you had put it on the word 'thanks' though.

As I have said, I am just being proactive to make sure me and my fiance will have a smooth journey without encountering any obstacles along the way. My question was simple and basically only requires a "Yes" or "No" answer instead, your response was "What purpose would a round trip be?" Sounds like sarcasm to me on your part.
